Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations. At 0720hrs 1-20 Infantry E Troop Track 24 requests Dust Off for Vietnamese woman urgent wounded in stomach, negative information on how wounded, Dust Off Completed at 0758hrs. A 0806hrs Message from Military Polices the Nation Police and Military Police at grid BS7840 today, they will be blowing tunnels and spider holes. At 2013hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Alpha Company reports Bridge 104 ARVN units at that location received 2 round M-79 and 7 rounds of small arms fire, negative casualties returned fire with 50 Caliber, M-79 and 60 Mortar fire with negative assessment.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and by 2005hrs Alpha Ambushes are in location at BS762401, BS775438 and BS772415.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company has the Security Mission for LZ Dragon. Bravo Company reports their location at grid BS732502, with 69 at BS718497.
Charlie Company
October 27, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder, At 2131hrs Charlie Company 68 at BS866340 while moving to ambush site received 4-5 rounds sniper fire from vicinity BS864342 results 1 US WHA (E) wounded in right side. Returned fire with negative assessment Dust Off completed at 2150hrs. Charlie Company Bunkers on LZ Thunder 5-6-7 report they received 5-6 rounds small arms fire approximately BS865322 fire illumination and returned fire will negative assessment negative casualties. At 2245hrs Charlie Company 68 has new location all elements at central location at BS871342.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with squad at Bridge 94. Delta Company reports CPL HILTON EDWARD WOOLSEY is Listed as KHA died of wounds (see October 14, 1968).
Echo Company
October 27, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder and 2 squads on LZ Charlie Brown where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Dottie with 1 Platoon from Bravo Company.
