Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ O’Connor with elements cutting the trails, looking for movement down into the Valley leading to the Coast and conducts a Security sweep south of Hiep DUC area. They are looking for building or signs of traffic or build up, in these areas.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0805hrs E Troop sanitary fill, mine went off as element approached dump, no casualties was command detonated, 30-40 pound shape charge.
Alpha Company
March 27, 1968
Alpha Company and Bravo Company conducted Search and Destroy northwest up the draws vicinity AT8727, AT8625, and AT8827.
Bravo Company
March 27, 1968
Bravo Company with Alpha Company moved southwest searching up draws vicinity AT8926, AT9026, AT9127 and AT9227. Bravo Company also used Search and Destroy operations vicinity BS8823.
Charlie Company
March 27, 1968
At 1931hrs Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Dottie and LZ Uptight with a ambush at BS648842.
Delta Company
March 27, 1968
Delta Company left one platoon for Security Mission on LZ O’Connor and now working Security patrolling to the northeast of LZ O’Connor at grids AT854253 to AT955256 to AT941263.
Echo Company
March 27, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where now located on LZ O’Connor and set up to provide direct support to the Battalion. Recon Platoon continued their Search and Destroy operations in the Hiep Duc Area.
