Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0220hrs Saber 40 vicinity sighted possible way station concealed bunker 6’ X 8’ with trails leading from it, engaged resulting in an undestroyed bunker because there was cement under the camouflage. At 0245hrs Saber 40 sighted 3’-4’ lean to and a temporary hootch and lean to was destroyed and Saber 40 broke station. At 0330hrs Saber 40 is on station for Box 69. At 0415hrs Saber 40 vicinity BS717445 diverted from Box 69 to check radar sighting of 12 to 14 personnel moving southwest at BS717445. While checking the area, observed 2 bunkers (concrete) at BS724441. Saber 40 took fire and engaged, broke for fuel at 0445hrs. At 0800hrs Saber 40 en route to adjust artillery at BS717445 engaged sighting of 1-3 at BS748416 resulting in 1 VC KIA. Saber 40 proceeded to BS717445 adjusting artillery, resulting in 1 VC KBA (Charlie Battery 6-11 Artillery. Saber 40 broke station at 0545hrs. At 0836hrs Primo 4 is on station for Command and Control Helicopter and broke station at 0943hrs. At 1720hrs S-4 Minuteman 26 is on station for re supply and broke station at 1905hrs. At 2120hrs MACV Mo Duc PF 168 vicinity BS769531 VC element of unknown strength attacked refugee camp, resulting in 1 PF WIA, not US confirmed. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1846hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon moving out for BS746420 and closed at 1925hrs. At 2035hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS746420 had 1 Mechanical Ambush detonate results 1 VC/NVA and cat KIA.
Bravo Company

At 0415hrs Saber 40 made a sighting of 2 bunkers and engaged. At 0515hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon vicinity BS724441 in response to nighthawk sighting, they searched the area and found 2 bunkers 4’ X 4’ X 6’ they had mud roofs with concrete sides and floor. Bravo Company reported The Bunkers were approximately 3 years old, and had not been in used for about the last 8 months, both bunkers were destroyed. At 1340hrs Bravo Company patrol moving to BS735437, and then at 1620hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon patrol closed BS735437. At 1955hrs Bravo Company Command Post, 2nd, 4th Platoon is at BS737450, 2nd Platoon BS718437, 1st and 3rd Platoon at BS738410.
Charlie Company

At 0950hrs Charlie Company at OP Wood stock requests Urgent Dust Off for 2 US hit a booby trap, Dust Off completed at 1001. At 1033hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon Patrol is moving out for BS705548. At 1130hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon vicinity BS667567, while searching the area of recent IOS sightings, element of 2nd Platoon was placed in heavy bamboo along a hedgerow estimate to be a 10 pounds charge, 1 US KIA and 2 US WHA, 1 PRC 25 radio damage. At 1320hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon set up Day ambush at BS709542 and BS706552. At 1945hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon patrol is at BS681528. CPL CHARLES RUPERT TRICKER LISTED AS KHA.
Delta Company

At 0830hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon moving out for BS639565, 1st Platoon moving to BS635556 as Delta Company continues their multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1104hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon Patrol is moving out to BS641553. At 1325hrs Delta Company vicinity BS643555 while on patrol 3rd Platoon found a small tunnel 1 ½’ X 3 ½’ located next to a streambed, it was 2-3 weeks old and was destroyed. At 1605hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol closed on BS646566, 3rd Platoon is at BS639579 and the 1st Platoon patrol closed on BS637552. At 1940hrs Delta Company 3rd and 4th Platoon at BS640563, 1st Platoon at BS643557 and 2nd Platoon at BS646565.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 1810hrs Recon is moving out for BS754456. At 1950hrs Recon is in their Night Defense Position vicinity BS754456.
