Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0150hrs Received request for illumination from MACV fired on request. At 0650hrs 81 ammo status fired 9 rounds illumination 5 rounds were fired for MACV Duc PHO. MACV Major Smith Duc Pho received ground attack unknown number of VC, security on south gage returned fire, VC withdrew west at grid BS868676. At 2045hrs E Troop Bridge 116 received information from MACV Mo Duc that a VC Battalion was located at BS792445.
Alpha Company
February 27, 1968
Alpha Company at LZ Bronco finishing up their Stand Down and by 1630hrs Alpha Company has ambushes out at BS823406, BS833384, BS831374, and BS855374. At 1715hrs Alpha Company at BS826373 tripped a VC mine, results 10 US WHA, 7 litter and 2 walking mine in ground VC type. All 9 had flack jackets on, some frag went trough jacket and caused wound. At 2015hrs Alpha Company is at LZ Bronco with ambushes at BS823406, BS833384, BS831374 and BS855374. Alpha Company reports SSGT Emanuel Walker JR, SGT Nichael Hawkins, SP4 Nichael Sheppard, PFC Lee E. Adams, PFC Richard A. Briggs, PFC Donald R. Vann where attached to 85 Evac Hospital.
Bravo Company
February 27, 1968
At 0410hrs Bravo Company at BS787348 and at 0923hrs Bravo Company at BS797332 found Punji pit 3’ wide X 5’ long and 5’ deep had movable spikes in a board, will try to evac, found also at 787348 found 2 old frag grenades and destroyed in place. At 1320hrs Bravo Company reports their location at BS788348. At 2100hrs Bravo Company reports Night Defense Position at BS772342 with 10 ambush at BS781341, 20 ambushes BS791320 and BS789319 with 30 ambushes at BS757371 and BS749366.
Charlie Company

At 0830hrs Charlie Company TASK FORCE Barker reports their location at BS653885. At 1100hrs Charlie Company reports their location at BS635869. At 0910hrs Charlie Company is located at BS635869 and at 1910hrs Charlie Company has moved on to LZ Dottie to take over the Security Mission for LZ Dottie.
Delta Company
February 27, 1968
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0910hrs Delta Company with 1 platoon at BS87348 and 1 platoon at BS859357. At 1055hrs 2nd Platoon is located at BS875325 and 3rd Platoon at BS858355. At 1847hrs Delta Company at BS873322 detained 1 VCS military age with large amount of money and well dressed, money was 1000 P’s. At 2100hrs Delta Company has ambushes at BS877336, BS876331 and BS872330.
Echo Company
February 27, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. At 0920hrs Recon Platoon at BS842308, 1 US WHA a result of sniper fire was Dust Off at 0930hrs. At 1000hrs Recon says WHA Gilmore shot in right elbow, in good condition. At 1055hrs Recon reports their location at LZ Thunder. At 2100hrs Recon reports their location at BS878274. Echo Company reports PFC Aaron Gilmore attached to 67th Medical Hospital.
