Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0110hrs TMF Fire Mission at 0109hrs String 295 Target A, has 4 to 5 personnel moving west at 4 miles per hour, with negative metal confirmation, negative clearance Code 1. At 0430hrs Alpha Company has 2 Mechanical Ambushes out, Bravo Company has 6 Mechanical Ambushes out and Delta Company has 1 Mechanical Ambush out. At 0710hrs Primo 2 is on station at this time and broke station at 0858hrs. At 0830hrs Primo 2 is on station at this time and broke station at 1005hrs. At 1040hrs MACV Dragon ARVN LT De, Mo Duc RK, negative little people southwest of MAX, last sighting by Alpha Company day 25. At 1210hrs the 1-20 Infantry TO Major Banks from S-3: Security Platoon moves by vehicle to First Support Base Snoopy to arrive no later then 281230 April for further movement by Re supply bird to Nu Vong to relieve Recon Platoon and 1 squad of Charlie Company. Vehicles will return Recon Platoon to Fire Support Base Liz. 2 10 to 12 man work party, from your location previously requested today will move with security Platoon 28 April 1971. 3 FRAGORD for 29 April is being published today. At 1300hrs 1-20 Infantry, TO Nui Vong from S-3: 1. Movement your unit and element of Charlie Company from Nui Vong to be conducted 281300hrs April 1971. 2. Foot March from present location to Fire Support Snoopy via Access Road for further move by vehicle to LZ Liz. At 1250hrs 1-20 Infantry Dolphin 15 is on station at this time. At 1407hrs Re supply Bird (Dolphin 15) spotted a circular hole in ground approximately 5 to 10’ in diameter and 4’ deep. On the east side at the base of the hole is a tunnel vicinity BS735471. At 1518hrs 1-20 Infantry Warlord 18 is on station for APD Box 183 at this time and broke station at 1518hrs. At 1600hrs 1-20 Infantry Helix 35 is on station at this time and broke station at 1608hrs. At 1638hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving to BS703484. At 1703hrs 1-20 Infantry Re supply bird, Dolphin 15 broke station. At 2006hrs TMF Fire Mission at 2006hrs String 295 Target A has 4 to 5 personnel moving east to west at 3 miles per hour, negative metal confirmation, and negative clearance Code 1. At 2210hrs MACV Mo Duc MAX requests Urgent Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female civilian, 7 to 8 months pregnant and was hit by canister (not know whether US or Vietnamese type), Dust Off completed at 2220hrs. At 2400hrs LZ Liz North OP spotted 2 personnel 150 meters from their position fired 81 Illumination and engaged with M-79 and they evaded to the northwest and into the Ville. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha continued their use of Patrol bases and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0815hrs Alpha Company all element in their Patrol Bases Command Post and 2nd Platoon and 4th Platoon is at BS681537, 1st Platoon is at BS667514 is at BS667514 with 3rd Platoon at BS674548. At 0817hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving out, will check last nights sighting at BS665509. At 1600hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon Patrol is moving to BS663517, 2nd Platoon Patrol is moving to BS678537 and 2nd Platoon patrol is moving to BS671536 at this time. At 1647hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon Patrol is at checkpoint 3 at BS658515, 2nd Platoon Patrol is at checkpoint 2 BS675525 and 3rd Platoon patrol is at check point 2 at BS668535. At 1810hrs Alpha Company Alpha Company Command Post, 2nd and 4th Platoons moving out to Night Defense Position vicinity BS686534. At 1840hrs Alpha Company changed the 1st Platoon Night Defense Position at BS661509.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their setting up of Patrol bases and conducting multiple patrols in their Area of Operation. At 0739hrs Bravo Company all element in their Patrol Bases, Command Post and 1st Platoon at BS729450, 2nd Platoon and 4th Platoon is at BS681537, 1st Platoon is at BS667514 with 3rd Platoon is at BS674548. At 0830hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon found a dud 2.75 helicopter rocket grid BS722416 and blew it in place. At 1458hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving out to BS721419. At 1505hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is moving to BS724454. At 1648hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon is moving to Night Defense Position at BS723421. At 2000hrs Command Post and 1st Platoon at BS723456, 2nd and 4th Platoon at BS716433 with 2nd Platoon ambush BS715436, and the 3rd Platoon ambush at BS723421. Bravo Company reports the following Charles Dellins and 2LT David A. Cox where evac to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1210hrs Major Banks from S-3 to 1 Security Platoon moves by Vehicle to Fire Support Base Snoopy to arrive NLT 28 1230hrs for movement by Re Supply Bird to Nui Vong to relieve Recon an 1st Platoon squad of Charlie Company. Vehicle will return Recon Platoon to LZ Liz. At 1200hrs Request Routine Dust Off for 1 man who cut his leg on a piece of PSP, accident happen by bunker 4 Re Supply Bird (Dolphin 15) completed 1247hrs. At 2050hrs Charlie Company Bunker 3 on the Access Road received 1 round of sniper fire coming from the north. SFC Torres G. Rivera was attached to 91st Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

At 0640hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon is moving on a sweep to grid BS702485. At 0642hrs Delta Company Command Post, 4th, 1st Platoon is moving out on a sweep to BS705485. At 0733hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon is in position at BS700492. At 1240hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon patrol at checkpoint 2 Observation Point (OP) changed to BS702501, day 28. At 1815hrs Delta Company all patrols have closed back to their Patrol Bases. At 2007hrs Delta Company Command Post 4th and 1st platoon moving to Night Defense Position at BS713494, Delta Company 3rd platoon moving to Night Defense Position BS705511, 2nd platoon ambush cancelled. 3rd platoon moved into their Night Defense Position at BS701497.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon is located at Nui Vong continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 1900hrs Recon at Nui Vong, Dust Off requested for 1 man Line # W4433, hot and chill spells, has 103 temperature, think he has malaria, Dust Off 88 requested at 1905hrs and completed at 1938hrs.
