Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Ross for Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA and are OPCON to the 198th Light Infantry Brigade. At 0030hrs 1-20 Infantry OP at Dragon received small arms fire from 1 automatic weapon 200-300 meters from perimeter, fire coming from southwest.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use their Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operations. At 1334hrs Bravo Company located at AT946319 engaged several VC with small arms fire, results 1 VC KIA, 1 VC WIA and 1 VC detained along with 1 pistol belt, 1 poncho, 2 packs, and 1 Chi Com hand grenade.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to use their Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operations.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operations. SP4 Fred R. James was evac to the 27th Evac Hospital and SP4 Danny L. Banfield was attached to the 85th Evac Hospital.
Echo Company
April 27, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where Battalion Forward is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense or LZ Ross. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Ross where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0750hrs Recon 10 at LZ Cobra request Dust Off for 2 Vietnamese civilians also gun ships for security. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon manned OP Tiger, Cobra and Dragon.
