Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0800hrs Area of Operation Extension Date/Time/Grid ASAP to 052400hrs November 1970 from grid BS650600 to BS680600 to southeast along current Area of Operation boundary to BS690578 to BS690560 to BS650560 to star, Purpose Combat Operations, approved to 012400hrs November 1970 # 86. At 1410hrs Bravo Battery 1-82 Artillery had 1 man Dust Off by Dolphin 20 from LZ Snoopy. They had a fire in the hole and 1 US got slight wound in scalp Name Orville Goodwin Dust Off completed at 1420hrs. At 1515hrs Request Area of Operations extension for 4 Regiment Date/Time/Grid 270700hrs to 291800hrs, from BS614630 to BS660630 to BS673624 along railroad bern to BS704560 to BS630560 to BS630570 along road to start. All Portions of our Area of Operation disapproved by CPT Parker. Area of Operation Extension for 4-21 Infantry Date/Time/Grid 270700hrs to 291800hrs October from BS801390 to 7BS70400 to BS760390 to BS760390 to BS760340 to BS740340 to BS720350 to BS730310 to BS730310 to BS800330 to start Purpose for Eagle flight approved by CPT Parker AO B-82A. At 1525hrs Primo 3 at grid BS823438 spotted 1 bunker, 2 sleeping positions and a couple of sandbags with something in them. Also, 1 set of green was on cloth line, Primo 3 reports have to break station. Artillery fired but had to stop due to Area of Operation Extension problem. At 1645hrs S-5 Wrap Up received from 14 Vietnamese children aged 10 to 14 the following 13 M-79 rounds, 3 (3 pound) mackerel cans Booby trap, 2 M-16 hand frag, 1 5 pound can Petna booby trap, 2 claymores, 2 105mm HE rounds, 1 155mm HE round, 2 M-3 hand frag, 1 large C Ration can homemade hand frag and S-5 gave this out under VIP program. Legend 1st Platoon 03-08, 2nd Platoon 53-58, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 43.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will used Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1858hrs Alpha Company elements are in location 03, 02, 63, at grid BS758563, 53 at Night Defense Position grid BS764553 and the 83 is in their Night Defense Position at BS764546.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Charlie Company
October 26, 1970
At 0800hrs Charlie Company 02 is moving along with 03 and 63 to 752618. At 1255hrs Charlie Company had 1 of their packs fall down in the rear and has a possible broken back. Resupply vehicle is requesting an Urgent Dust Off, Name Sharp Dust Off completed at 1300hrs. At 1300hrs Charlie Company 53 element took sniper fire from 200 meters to their north. It was totaled about 5 rounds AK-47 fire, 02 and 83 elements is now sweeping area, checked out area with negative findings at grid BS738622. At 1530hrs Charlie Company while sweeping grid BS734623 found 4 booby trap, 1 trip wire with hand frag (baseball type), 1 trip wire with WP grenade, 1 trip wire with a can of Petna, and 1 pressure release 155mm round. All were across a trail and the trip wires were not buried, the 155 round was buried. Trips were blown in place but will take care of 155mm round tomorrow. All look like they had been there quite sometime (All in logical location where you would walk). At 1920hrs Charlie Company 53 element received about 25 rounds small arms fire at grid BS724606, 400 meters away, engaged with Artillery from LZ Snoopy, had negative casualties and negative findings. Charlie Company reports 07, 63 and 83 in their Night Defense Position at BS757620.
Delta Company

At 0655hrs Delta Company 53 in location at BS743562, 02 at BS744559 and 03 is at BS741572. At 0920hrs Delta Company 06 is moving to BS737578, 56 to BS746562 and 86 to BS748559. At 1105hrs Delta Company the 55 element at grid BS739569 found 2 holes facing a trial in a hedgerow. They had been used about 2 weeks ago, were 3’ off the trail. Each measured 4’deep and 2 ˝ X 2 ˝ around and were about 15 meters appears these holes are used to hide in when US or ARVN units, are in the area. At 1228hrs Delta Company 86 is moving to BS748559 and 06 at checkpoint 2 at BS727578. At 1632hrs Delta Company 55 is at checkpoint 2 grid BS737563 and 85 at checkpoint 1 grid BS754550. At 1813hrs AMC on Station Battalion Commander departed LZ Liz for Combat Assault 1 PZ 1816hrs completed at 1820hrs and 2 PZ 1834hrs completed at 1837hrs Confirmed 1 KBA, 1 KIA. At 1858hrs CPT Jones effective 261500hrs 1-20 Infantry relieved of responsibility of security of LZ Snoopy. At 1900hrs Results of items picked up by Combat Assault 1 M-26 hand frag, approximately 400 meters trip wire, 2 Chi Com electric blasting caps, and 6 pressure type blasting caps. Also 16 rounds of 45 ammo, medical supplies, documents, 1 pound with page 75 DA Pamphlet 310-3, ID card Vietnamese female age 12, name Nume Bay Xuan of Pho Xuan hamlet Duc Pho District.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon will continue their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
