Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II. At 0703hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC requests 2 dog teams for a 3 day mission, Dog teams report to Budweiser Pad as soon as possible. At 0825hrs Division request clearance for defoliations mission, for 28 November 68 Target BS460645-5270-4776 TOT 0900hrs. Air Force request for heavy suppression and return fire under control Americal FAC. Air Force request frequency and call signs of units in the target box for contact before mission. At 1130hrs Aerial Scouts at BS475403 engaged 1 NVA results 1 NVA KIA.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0930hrs E Troop 1 Cav 11 Brigade at BS733545 1 APC hit mine estimate at 100pounds with bamboo pressure type firing device with results: 4 US WHA, one of them serious, APC was escorting mine sweep team Dust Off completed at 0946hrs and APC was a Combat Loss. At 1055hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer reports road is open from LZ Bronco to Thunder. At 1118hrs Alpha 19 Engineer Road is open from LZ Bronco to Dragon and at 1135hrs Delta Company reports Road is open from LZ Thunder to Bong Song. At 1300hrs is informed that they have 1 KHA and 3 WIA CPL MICHAEL GEORGE LANDKAMER (DIED OF WOUNDS). At 1317hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer reports Road is open from LZ Dragon to Chu Lai.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company locations at 1030hrs Command Post (-) at BS485610, 103 with 133 at BS485615, 173 is at BS493602, 136 at BS475621, 175 at BS490595 and 165 is at BS502599. At 1055hrs Alpha Company is at BS478618 found 4 tunnels 6 X 6 X 10’ also found grave with body, 1 VC had bullet hole in body. (Division TOC instructs not to count as KIA). At 1235hrs Alpha Company found 13 huts, 6 under construction, few tunnels, under huts and detained 1 NVA in hut. At 1515hrs location BS475615, Alpha Company found 10 huts, 1 shovel and piece of paper, like SOI item. At 1830hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position Command Post (-) at BS485610, 91 is at BS493602, 51 at BS485615 and 21 is at BS482618.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Cork with Bravo Company security patrols at 103 & 133 BS485610.
Charlie Company
November 26, 1968
At 0825hrs Late Entry Division request clearance for defoliation mission for 28, November, Target BS460645 to BS5270 to BS4776. At 0911hrs Charlie Company at BS428641 and at 1008hrs Charlie Company at BS427633 found 1 loaded AK 47 in stream bed. Charlie Company at 1335hrs at BS423626 found 3 graves, 3 bodies of NVA in green uniforms dead for two weeks frag wounds. At 1830hrs Charlie Company Night Defense Position is at BS424627 with LP at BS423626.
Delta Company

At 0805hrs Delta Company found a cache of rice 1000lbs unpolished. At 0911hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS402569. At 1550hrs Delta Company reports their locations Delta (-) is at BS404604 with 61 & 91 at BS403607. At 1535hrs Delta Company reports received sporadic sniper fire and automatic weapons fire with negative results at BS408604. Sporadic sniper fire and automatic weapons fire all day and at 1540hrs received 20 rounds of automatic weapons fire, negative casualties. At 1830hrs Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position location BS403607.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Cork where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Cork where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At Recon Platoon reports their location at BS499596. At 1449hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS498593.
