Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1510hrs Convoy vicinity BS889273 received 1 RPG and small arms fire, negative casualties or damage. At 2220hrs Alpha Company LZ Liz reports explosion off bunker 8 checking it out.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1623hrs 19 Engineer reports at 887272 Convoy received small arms fire Automatic weapons fire, results 1 WIA (E) Dust Off Command and Control Helicopter 3-1 Infantry at 1625hrs.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company conducts Recon in Force to BS732423, BS735440, BS750442, BS764408 and BS768411. At 1415hrs Alpha Company at BS750440 detained 1 VCS. At 1015hrs Alpha Company found a tunnel approximately 50’, were able to stand up in it, a platoon size element could sleep in it and request demo to destroy. At 2220hrs Alpha Company has explosion off Bunker 8, checking it out now.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts Company size sweep northwest through BS785505 to Recon and Block. At 1515hrs at BS790508 Bravo Company received small arms fire and automatic weapons fire and at 1535hrs Bravo Company detonated a unknown type mine with results is 1 US KIA and 2 WIA. Bravo Company and Recon 1-20 with one platoon of E Troop continue joint operations with 1st Battalion 4th ARVN Regiment. SP4 EDWIN ROMAN-RODRIGUEZ LISTED AS KHA

Charlie Company Conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to BS790436, and BS784434. Charlie Company continues their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation. At 0930hrs Charlie Company conducts an Air movement to Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts a air movement to Bronco at 0830hrs then conducts a Recon in Force to BS803422 and will saturation patrolling in BS7943, BS8143, BS7941. Delta Company with 1 platoon will continued the joint operation with the PRU. At 1945hrs Delta Company at BS905415 received small fire and returned fire with negative results. At 2240hrs Delta Company BS805418 have 2 VC under fire, results unknown.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon report their location 53 at BS797508, 33 at BS782506 and 20-93 at BS790508. At 1105hrs Recon Platoon found 1 500 pound bomb explosive was taken out at BS782509 also found a VC School House with tables and blackboards with bunkers around it for students, destroyed. At 1420hrs Recon Platoon reports locations 53 at BS797508, 20-93 at BS790508 and 33 at BS782506.
