Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operation. At 1740hrs 1-20 Infantry request Area of Operation extension BS6760 to BS6763 to BS762630 to BS7760.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. LATE REPORT: On 25 December at 2330hrs Bunker #56 received small arms fire with results 1 US WHA (E) round had struck individuals weapon, weapon exploded. Trip flare was detonated by VC trying to penetrate wire returned fire, gun ships and Artillery called in with negative results. At 0845hrs answer to request for Colonel Treadwell, ¼ ton Bravo 4-3 Infantry ambushed at 1220hrs, ¼ ton and 2 ½ ton 3 US in each M-16 and M-79, convoy had a radio did not function when needed. ¼ ton took most of the fire, negative hits on 2 ½, Dust Off completed at 1230hrs by Command and Control helicopter. The Platoon usually deployed in that area "Yellow Zone" had been pulled back for "Christmas Truce". At 1233hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports Command and Control helicopter received approximately 10 automatic rounds fire.
Alpha Company

At 1202hrs Alpha Company at BS608588 found 1 hut which contained 2 K44 SN #9895, #39243, 1 shotgun SN #53030 also found 6 Bar magazines. At 1205hrs at BS608587 Alpha Company tripped a booby trap with the results of 3 US WHA (Evac) Dust Off was completed at 1230hrs. Alpha Company reports that PFC LOUIS WADE ROBERTS IS LISTED AS KHA evac to Chu Lai and informed at 1739hrs (died of wounds). PFC Jan S. Salo and PFC Gary C. Hardman where evac to 312th Evac Hospital at 1330hrs (Friar).

Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0645hrs Charlie Company at BS786424 5 VC attempt to run results is 5 CIA. At 0930hrs Charlie Company reports their locations Charlie Company (-) at LZ Liz with Charlie 21 at LZ Dragon.
Delta Company

Delta Company is in the following locations, Delta Company (-) BS624544, 61 at BS617535, 81 at BS623545. At 1330hrs Dust Off completed for Delta Company for 1 EM with heat exhaustion. At 1600hrs Delta Company set up their Night Defense Position at BS634555.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Liz where Battalion Forward is located and coordinates the Battalion Rear elements and Base Defense element on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Liz where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). Recon Platoon reports that they are on their Stand Down at LZ Bronco.
