Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0745hrs 1-20 Infantry S-4 Dolphin 17 tail # 698 resupply bird in on station. At 0915hrs Slow Motion 5 LOH is on station. At 1500hrs Charlie Troop 1-1 Calvary BTO44391 while moving to Night Defense Position spotted a 105 artillery round with pressure type detonator and was blown in place. At 1655hrs Ingener 55 found at grid AT997356 4 to 6 fresh bunkers and trails, trails were 12" wide and had been used in the past 24 hours. At 1758hrs LZ Siberia while setting out Night Defenses at Bunker 2 had a claymore accidentally detonate, the rest of the people on the bunker line did not know immediately what had taken place so they called 100% Alert. No one was injured and alert was terminated 1800hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai. Headquarters and Headquarter Company reports SP4 Eddie Jackson was attached to 91st Evac Hospital and LT William Nelson was attached to 91st Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West with Defense Patrolling around Fire Base.
Bravo Company
September 25, 1971
At 0735hrs Bravo Company Command Post wit 2nd Platoon is moving on patrol to AT921268 and the 1st Platoon to AT915268. Bravo Company is using saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0925hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon 1st squad is on patrol to AT921268. At 1010hrs 1st Platoon 3 squad patrol closes at AT921268. At 1055hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon 1st squad closed on AT921268. At 1650hrs Bravo Company 1st platoon is moving to their Night Defense Position at AT915265. At 1855hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon closed on AT915265. At 1915hrs Bravo Company Command Post with 2nd Platoon has closed on their Night Defense Position at AT920265.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Siberia. At 1500hrs Charlie Company 1-1 Calvary at BT044391 while on move to Night Defense Position spotted 105mm artillery around with pressure type detonator, was blown in place. LZ Siberia while setting out night defenses at Bunker 2 had a claymore accidentally detonated. The rest of the personnel on the bunker line, called 100% alert. No one injured and alert was terminated at 1800hrs. At 1800hrs Charlie Company at BT060390, while in their Night Defense Position with Charlie Troop 1-1 Cav detonated unknown type of booby trap (homemade) with the results of 6 US WIA (E) and Dust Off was completed at 1908hrs. Charlie Company reports SGT Michael J. Holien, SP4 Lenny R. Russell, SP4 Nick E, Rodriguez and PFC Orrin V. Johnson were attached to the 95th Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

At 0900hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon on patrol to AT868247 and at 0910hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon 2 squads on patrol to AT867246. At 1300hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon 2 squads, 1st Platoon 2 squads closed on AT868246. At 1400hrs 1st Platoon with 2 squads closed on Patrol Base at AT868247 and at 1435hrs 2nd Platoon 1 squad closed on patrol base at AT868247. At 1715hrs Delta Company is moving into their Night Defense Position at AT869241.
Echo Company
September 25, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon will continue their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
