Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0116hrs Radar Target where sent to Bravo Company BS788443 and BS799414. At 0820hrs Charlie Company 4-3 Infantry we are in location at BS770536. At 1120hrs Brigade Area of Operation extension B28 to the 60 east-west grid line has been approved. At 1210hrs AMC will be on station with 3 lift ships and 2 sharks and 1 Primo ASAP. At 1255hrs M26 we found a tunnel at BS755536, 10’ X 10’ and goes straight down. We need 4 40 pound shaped charges with charges, caps and fuse. The tunnel was destroyed and the tunnel caved in. At 1315hrs 1-20 Infantry we requests Brigade to furnish 2 trucks for a convoy escort on 26 May1970 was disapproved by Brigade. At 1335hrs Primo 03 at BS805471 near a bunker, we spotted a booby trap 105/155mm rounds will fly cover for an EOD team if they are dropped in. At 1430hrs Charlie Company 4-3 Infantry our new location is at BS758538. At 1733hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer a total of 21 acres were cleared in the area of BS769436 to BS765535 to BS756538. 24 hours were logged with 450 gallons of fuel used. 4 bunkers were destroyed, 1 155 pressure release type booby trap destroyed, 3 155 rounds and 1 105 round was destroyed with 20 pounds of C-4 used. 4 D7 dossiers are operational with 1 deadline for maintenance and 2 CEV are operational. At 1925hrs Radar sighted 8 stationary personnel at BS776488 with Recon Informed and at 1930hrs Radar sighted at BS772489 8 stationary personnel with Recon Platoon informed. At 1935hrs Radar at BS798500 sighted 6 to 8 stationary personnel with Recon Informed. At 2015hrs Radar sighted 10 to 15 stationary personnel at BS798495 with Recon and Charlie Company 4-3 Infantry informed At 2150hrs Radar sighted at BS779495 10 to 15 personnel moving west with Recon Platoon informed.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0722hrs Alpha Company the 26 element is providing security on the access road. At 1830hrs Alpha Company the access road snakes are in location. SP4 Harold Hale was evac to 91st Evac Hospital.
Bravo Company
May 25, 1970
At 0525hrs Bravo Company the 45 element has closed, the 05 element is moving out to sweep and the 07 is in their blocking position. Bravo Company continued their multiple patrolling and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1245hrs Bravo Company conducts a Combat Assault the 1st PZ from BS783433 was at 1236hrs and 1st LZ to BS820424 was at 1245hrs. At 1320hrs Bravo Company has a Vietnamese brought an unknown type round into the Command post and said he found it in a rice field, we request an EOD team to check it out, it was a 106 recoilless HE round. At 2200hrs Bravo Company the Command Post received 10 to 16 rounds of sniper fire from their north from grids BS783437 and BS776436 and engaged with small arms fire and illumination with negative finding.
Charlie Company

At 0625hrs Charlie Company the 44 element in the area of contact last night a grid BS739575 found one bandoleer with 3 M916 clips in it, one hand frag and one Vietnamese poncho. At 1110hrs Charlie Company is moving to BS737571 at 1800hrs today as they continued to extract rice from their Area of Operation. At 1733hrs Charlie Company a total of 32,500 pounds of rice were extracted today making extracted 52,500 with 30,000 pounds bagged ready to be put in the nets. The Grand total is 97,500 pounds (estimated). At 2015hrs Charlie Company informed by the S4 to have 1 NCO with one radio in each truck and the radios will be the convoy commander’s net. At 2135hrs Charlie Company was informed to save their 81mm ammo which was 3 WP, 10 Illumination and 12 HE. But expended all but 1 WP, 2 HE and (4 to 5) Illuminations rounds.
Delta Company

Delta Company is located in at LZ Bronco for their Stand Down. At 2300hrs Brigade the PZ for the Delta Company moved will, be at 0945hrs and Delta Company will stand by and trucks will pick up the rest of Delta Company at 1000hrs en route to Charlie Company location.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0515hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Fire Mission 5 for a total expended of 10 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0640hrs Recon our Day Logger is at BS774476. We will have a patrol move at 1030hrs 02 element to BS783470 and 1 patrol to move out at 1500hrs to BS780471. At 0750hrs Recon Platoon the 01 snake will be at BS786483, the 02 snake will be at BS788492 and the 03 snake will be at BS775489 tonight. At 1100hrs Recon Platoon the Day Logger and re supply location is at BS753456, the 01 snake will be at BS728441, the 02 snake will be at BS730471 and the 03 snake will be at BS716438. At 1200hrs Recon Platoon we blew 2 booby traps with trip wires attached at BS778470, 15 pound charges. At 1435hrs Recon Platoon the 02 element found 2 sleeping positions with hot chow in the area and the 03 patrol is moving out on their patrol. At 1705hrs Recon 01 is at BS780481. At 1753hrs Recon Platoon our 02 element will be at BS772482 tonight. At 1920hrs Recon Platoon the 01 element will have a roving snake go to grid BS782477 and then move at 2200hrs to BS780481. At 2220hrs Recon the 01 element is in their preplanned location.
