Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. Quang Ngai informed LTC Garcia and province senior advisor that 11th Brigade would remove troops from Bridge 402W either late 26 May or early 27 May. Bridge has suitable bypass. Also 19 Engineers are removing Bailey Bridge after they finish will pull troops out.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and the Bridge. At 1025hrs Alpha Company 33 is located at BS787422.
Bravo Company
May 25, 1969
Bravo Company we are sweeping through the Village and searching, the 13 element did receive some sniper fire at 0545hrs. We are trying to locate the sniper now. We left the 2 snakes in position hoping that something might run into them. At 0810hrs at 803466 we have 4 VCS (females), they are member of VC Women Association and 1 male that is member of Men’s Association will evac. At 1005hrs Bravo Company locations from Bravo Company Day Logger is at BS801458, 13 and Recon at BS801465, Recon combat patrol 15 at BS805375, the 83 sweep to BS795470, and 65 Recon to BS801450. At 1050hrs at BS796466 have 4 female VCS with our 83 element and 2 are young (20-25) and 2 are middle age (40-45). None of them have ID and all members of VC Women’s Association. At 1815hrs Bravo Company at BS795168 we have one male VC KIA, he evaded into a bunker and we put a grenade in bunker. The VC was dress in black, and had a Chi Com grenade with him and we are moving to our Night Defense Position. At 1944hrs closed into our Night Defense Position and 66 snake closed by 2010hrs.
Charlie Company

At 0910hrs Charlie Company 1 Vietnamese 14 year old turned in 1 M-1 Carbine SN#36334707 said he found at grid BS776430. 11th Brigade will remove troops from Bridge 402U either late 26 May or early 57 May Bridge has suitable by pass also the 19 Engineers are removing the Bailey Bridge at that location. At 1805hrs Charlie Company at reports their night locations at BS788425, 33 at BS792436 and BS789777, and BS784434.

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0643 Recon Platoon conducts a Combat Assault at 0643hrs and from SE Pad and Last PZ at 0649hrs and LZ Cold, to set up blocking position for Bravo Company. At 1025hrs Recon Platoon report they are in their Blocking Position at BS795488 and 1 squad at BS811486. At 1330hrs Recon Platoon 2 squads and Command Post is located at BS795488 with 1 squad at BS881486. AT 1805hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS809489.
