Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1140hrs Slow Motion 3 while leaving Bravo Company at BS615495, took fire 10 rounds small arms fire. Artillery Fired on area of suspected enemy location at 11, bird checked out at LZ Dragon received negative hits. At 1325hrs Minuteman 120 is on station for resupply. At 1705hrs Minuteman 120 is now breaking station. At 1845hrs OP Wink priority Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese child (Biu Tan Thach) with multiple frag wounds to legs from Booby Trap, and completed at 1900hrs Bird #89 made pick up. At 2135hrs Saber Black is on station to check out Box 41, broke station at 2210hrs with negative results. Legend: 1st Platoon 88, 2nd Platoon 79, 3rd Platoon 39, 4th Platoon 17, CO-37.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 25, 1971
At 0320hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon had a Mechanical Ambush detonate 200 meters north of Night Defense Position vicinity BS627553, will check out the area at first light, engaged area with small arms fire and M-79, checked out area and found it was tripped by an animal. At 0720hrs vicinity BS623537, request priority dust off for 1 PF with shrapnel wounds to the right hand. Received wounds while in contact on 241900hrs, Bird # 9, postponed due to small arms fire, but was completed at 0915hrs. At 0820hrs Alpha Company 1st and 2nd Platoon received small arms fire, Artillery FO called in fire at 0810hrs. Alpha Company received 30 rounds of small arms fire from about 150 meters to their southeast from grid BS623537 and saw 3 personnel in dark clothing evade to the east (could not see any packs) the 1st and 2nd Platoon will pursued. At 1330hrs Alpha Company, while on patrol 1st Platoon found a Booby Trap. It was a can of Petna with small grenade fuse located beside a trail, and look like it was just place there with no trip wire, blew it in place. At 1725hrs Alpha Company, while moving, 1st and 2nd Platoon found an entrance to a tunnel in heavy vegetation vicinity BS629552. The entrance was 3’ in diameter with a depth of 5’ lead to a room 5’ by 5’ by 5’ with another small tunnel, and adjoining room also 5’ by 5’ by 5’room and the tunnel appeared to be recently used, will be destroyed. At 1953hrs Alpha Company 1st, 2nd, and 3 Platoon at BS628555, 1st Platoon ambush BS624534, Command Post and 4th Platoon at vicinity BS639531.
Bravo Company

At 0948hrs Bravo Company all elements in their Patrol Bases, Command Post with 2nd and 4th Platoons at BS633490 and 3rd and 1st Platoons at vicinity BS637487. At 1140hrs Slow Motion 3 (Battalion S-3) while leaving Bravo Company at BS615495 took fire to 10 rounds of small arms fire, Artillery fired on area of suspected enemy location at 1100hrs. Bird was checked out at Dragon, received negative hits. Bravo Company while engaging the area, where Slow Motion 3 received small arms fire, a member of Bravo Company received a slight frag wound to the head, from exploding 40mm round. He was taken to D Med at Bronco, by Slow Motion 3. At 1950hrs, Bravo Company 1st and 3rd Platoon Night Defense Position at BS619477, and the 2nd and 4th Platoon with Command Post is at BS633490.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company used multiple and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation today. At 0953hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving to BS717472. At 1145hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed at BS716461. At 1315hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon Patrol Base has changed to tonight’s Night Defense Position vicinity BS712462. At 1950hrs Charlie Company Command Post 2nd and 4th Platoons at BS711454, 1st Platoon at BS708448 with 1st Platoon ambush BS703453, 3rd Platoon BS717462 with 3rd Platoon ambush at BS718460.
Delta Company
March 25, 1971
At 0728hrs Delta Company 1st platoon closed to LZ Liz where the Company has their Security Mission along with road Security. At 0745hrs 2nd platoon moving to BS730436 and at 0925hrs Delta Company conducted at raid at BS726433 resulting in 4,000 pounds of unpolished rice in burlap bags. The rice was hidden in a hedgerow along a known infiltration route. The will be back hauled to Duc Pho District on Resupply ship today.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0820hrs Recon is moving out to vicinity BS770410. At 1038hrs Recon is closing on LZ Liz at this time. At 1945hrs Recon is in preplanned position at BS725452.
