Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 25, 1970
At 0950hrs Alpha Company 12 has found an old VC/NVA base camp at BS722626. There were 15 old bunkers, 11 destroyed hootches and 3 fighting position we found 25-30 Punji sticks about 2 to 3 days old. At 1930hrs Alpha Company we are in our preplanned Night Defense Position at BS738330.
Bravo Company
March 25, 1970
Bravo Company we request an Urgent Dust Off for one Vietnamese female with uncontrollable fits. The 62 element confirms that the female is VC Dust Off completed at 0754hrs. At 0910hrs we requests a ambulance for Twin Ville pick up Vietnamese male with kidney infection, the pick up was made by Med-Cap. At 1110hrs Bravo Company 62 element picked up 3 male detainees at BS757457, ages 54, 45, 39, and PF said they were VC so evac back to MACV. At 1600hrs the 67 element pick up 2 males detainee 15 and 12 also to MACV. Then at 1610hrs Bravo Company the 67 element made contact with 2 to 3 VC/NVA received approximately 25 rounds of small arms fire, about 400 meters away the enemy grid BS802464 on which Artillery was called with negative results.
Charlie Company
March 25, 1970
Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1940hrs the 66 element is moving to BS749470 and the 66 element is roving along the access road. At 2030hrs the 66 element received AK 47 fire from VC who were 10 meters away the 66 element returned fire with M-79 shot illumination and check out the area with negative results, enemy grid BS749469. The 66 element is moving to south to set up ambush again. The Charlie Company 66 element reports there were 3 to 5 (VC/NVA) and checking area further found a bag of rice. At 2245hrs Charlie Company request urgent Dust Off for a US with a cut artery from a cook off M60 round (Name John L. Eddy) Dust Off complete at 2253hrs to Bravo 23 Medical possible FX wrist.
Delta Company
March 25, 1970
At 1635hrs Delta Company 62 element is moving to BS758365, 63 to BS752376, 64 BS750380, 12 BS750390, 13 BS760375, 14 BS760380, at 1836hrs closed on BS757390 and Night Defense Position BS757385. PFC David Elrod was evac to 91 Evac Hospital.
Echo Company
March 25, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0625hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Scheduled Fires, 1 Observed Mission for a total expended 6 HE and 25 Illumination. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0752hrs E Troop and Recon all elements have closed and all elements are moving to BS746446. At 1240hrs E Troop and Recon Platoon report their present location is at 733463. SP4 Robert W. Burns was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital (11C20) sick.
