Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0559hrs AMC is on Station. At 0726hrs Battalion Commander we picked up 2 detainees at BS766424, 1 male age 50 wearing a purple top and white bottoms and 1 female, 45 years old, wearing a purple top and black bottoms. Negative ID they were evac to LZ Liz. At 0905hrs Recon Platoon we have closed on LZ Liz. At 1730hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer reports 1 105mm round was destroyed, using 200 gallons of fuel and 1 D7 is deadline with a defective hydraulic hose. We moved Day Logger today. At 1745hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC update on the Chieu Hoi report. There have been 5 more Chieu Hoi who have rallied during the past week. Added to the 15 since 1 June 1970 there is a total of 20 VC Chieu Hoi in the joint US and Vietnamese operations in Mo Duc District. At 1800hrs S-5 report 10 minutes of Chieu Hoi tape at BS7541, at BS6950, 37,000 leaflets and with 10 minutes of tape time were accomplished at BS7260 10 minutes of tape time aimed at the local population VIP program. At BS7365 5 minutes of tape time were expended and at BS7656 the 5 minutes of tape time were expended and at BS7656 10 minutes of tape on demoralization was play (also 5 minutes at BS7339) the last 2 were night early word.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and will continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
June 25, 1970
Alpha Company will be using Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation today. At 0715hrs we request a routine Dust Off for 1 US E2355, who is believed to be suffering from Tonsillitis completed at 0848hrs grid BS938419. At 1925hrs Alpha Company is moving to Night Defense Position at BS735405 and multiple snake locations.
Bravo Company

At 0825hrs Bravo Company the 72 element found a tunnel at BS804466 and was covered with bamboo with a 2’ square entrance and 6’ deep, we check out the bunker with negative finding and threw in C/S and will blow it later. At 1745hrs 1-20 Update on Chieu Hoi report there have been 5 more Chieu Hoi who had rallied during the past week, add to the 15 since 1 June 1970 there is a total of 20 VC Chieu Hoi in the Joint US Vietnamese Operations in the Mo Duc District.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road. At 2028hrs Charlie Company all the Access Road snakes are in location. At 1005hrs Charlie Company at BS847377 detainee 1 Vietnamese male 10-12 years old, passing out propaganda leaflets evac to LZ Bronco.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducted Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0612hrs Delta Company 25 element and 94 have closed and Delta 25 element patrol closed at checkpoint 1 at BS748658. At 0630hrs Delta Company 93 element is at checkpoint 1 at BS713640. At 1212hrs Charlie Company 26 engineer and Delta 71 report their Day logger is at BS735410. At 1920hrs Delta Company all patrols have closed. At 1630hrs Delta Company 23 element received AK-47 sniper fire from their northeast at 400 meters, five VC with weapons were spotted evading to the southwest into a wood line, we engaged with small arms fire, call in Artillery and we checked area with negative finding. At 2030hrs Delta Company the 94 element is at BS712631 and the 91 element is at BS722462 also the 24 element is at BS743652.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 4.2 Platoon reports Fire Mission 8 for a total expended of 50 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0640hrs Recon Platoon conducted a Combat Assault 1st PA at LZ Liz at 0626hrs and LZ vicinity BS766445 at 0634hrs and second LZ vicinity BS766423 at 0640hrs. At 0716hrs Recon Platoon at grid BS764415 we found 1 bunker, 4’ X 3’ X 8’, which was checked with negative findings and blown in place. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry on LZ Liz.
