Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0925hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Night Hawk for MACV Mo Duc, BS7561 East to Ocean, BS7657 East to Ocean, BS7657 to BS7651. The 1-20 Infantry will continue to conduct Operations in the Duc Pho Area of Operation.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1930hrs Base Defense reports bunker 51 and 52 spotted movement engaged with 81mm mortar at range of 700 meters unknown results.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will use Saturation Patrolling with a Day Logger at BS741453. At 1553hrs Alpha Company Routine Dust Off for 1 US with temp of 103 possible malaria Name SP Cowen this was at grid BS735440 Dust off complete at 1614hrs Set up with 3 separate Night Defense Position. SGT Wyndal G. Cowan was evac to 91st Evac Hospital.
Bravo Company

At 2145hrs Bravo Company The RF (169) sprung their ambush on 3 VC/NVA approximately 20 to 30 meters southeast VC were coming toward the RF location and RF engaged with small arms fire negative return fire. The 65 element linked up with the RF check area found 1 VC KIA wearing a black bottom and black top, age 25 the other VC evaded to the southeast. Both RF and 65 elements closed on Compound. At 2225hrs Bravo Company approximately 2145hrs at Twin Ville received a little gas unknown where it came from, approximately 2210hrs spotted a hootch go up in flame, negative casualties in the Twin Ville area fire at grid BS776446. The gas caught fire from a small campfire in the hootch.

At 1130hrs Delta Company 42 element BS768388 as Road Trail Block At 1910hrs Delta Company Command Post at BS732397, the 31 at Night Defense Position BS753397, 01 at BS779386, 03 BS785384, 63 BS748394, 02 BS776386.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0845hrs Recon Platoon at BS821431 reports the 62 element destroyed a trip wire booby trap hand grenade HE. At 1057hrs Recon Platoon at BS807453 the 64 element detained a 30 year old, female with negative ID wearing black, and a 12 year old female, negative ID will evac to LZ Bronco. At 1020hrs Recon Platoon 62 element found VC pamphlets, a 5 man bunker and misc. items will destroy these items. At 2017hrs Recon Platoon reports their night locations 61 at BS810460, 62 BS816455 and 64 at BS808468.
