Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0845hrs PRU at BS893284 found 1 ½ ton of rice request assistance in getting it out from tunnel at BS895282 request extraction.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1340hrs Charlie Company 19th Engineer at BS885296 Convoy from comets element going North on Highway 1 with 30 rounds from east side of road 110 meters south of Bridge 105. Results 1 US WIA not serious returned fire and continued north. At 1645hrs Bravo Company 19 engineer reports convoy at BS915245 received 200 to 300 rounds automatic weapons fire from eastside of road, return fire with negative results and at 1655hrs from small arms fire 2 US WIA.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. At 1305hrs Alpha Company has 3 elements leaving from BS657298 to BS662296, BS652298 and BS652295. At 0930hrs Command and Control Helicopter 4-21 Infantry went down from mechanical failure, negative enemy action with 1 US (Non Battle Wounds) at BS643295 and Dust Off completed at 1000hrs. At 1550hrs Alpha Company 23 closed on Command Post and by 1735hrs at BS643295 their new Night Defense Position. At 1850hrs Alpha Company reports their night location 24 at BS645296, 54 at BS642294 and 32 at BS645291. At 1340hrs Alpha Company at BS663293 found warm fire, fresh cut brush.
Bravo Company

At 1430hrs Bravo Company reports their locations at BS712466, 31 at BS719469, 21 at BS715466, 23 BS718462. At 2300hrs Bravo Company at BS723449 sprung ambush on 10 VC/NVA results in 2 VC/NVA KIA and 1 AK47 CIA. Also 2 packs were wearing green uniforms and packs. At 2300hrs Bravo Company had squad checking area found one more body 3 total and with a 9mm pistol with folding stock was point man dressed in green, 2nd man in column dressed in green and the 3rd man is dressed in black too be local guide. Inside the 2 packs where maps, documents letters flashlights and Chi Com grenades and the rest of VC/NVA evaded to the South.
Charlie Company

At 0645hrs Charlie Company at BS758396 the 21element has Dust Off for 1 US with sprained ankle fell off rice paddy dike, and 1 US bitten by unknown bug completed at 0805hrs. At 0915hrs Charlie Company at bS758396 found 2 RPG rounds live evac to LZ Liz for identification. At 2115hrs Charlie Company location are 21 at BS778391, 51 BS768388 and 63 BS762392.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 0830hrs Delta Company 31 at BS722422 requested a Dust Off for Vietnamese females with frag wounds of upper arms and chest frag wounds area from Artillery Dust Off completed at 0845hrs. At 1115hrs Delta Company at BS7042 blown the bridge on 515 highway also found booby trap Chi Com grenade with trip wire at BS708428 blowing in place. At 1430hrs Delta Reports their location 31 and 63 is at BS708428.
Echo Company
April 25, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0720hrs Recon Platoon at BS702431 spotted 1 VC dress in black, going southwest on 515, engaged with small arms fire, negative results. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon reports their locations 31 SRRP at BS705421 and 21, 61 and 63 at BS706428. At 1400hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Liz.
