Headquarters and Headquarter Company
September 24, 1971
Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0730hrs Resupply bird Hornet #23 tail # 083 is on station. At 0828hrs Slow Motion LOH is on station and at 0828hrs Gun Ship 55 is working box 33 left Box at 0915hrs with negative results. At 1030hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon reports ARVN Inspection Team departed LZ West at 1255hrs and Inspection team to head to LZ Siberia. At 1450hrs Hornet 23 Tail # 083 resupply bird is now breaking station.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West with Defense Patrolling around Fire Base.
Bravo Company
September 24, 1971
At 0805hrs Bravo Company is moving to their Patrol Bases at AT903264 and AT908264. At 0957hrs Bravo Company in their Patrol Bases and 1st Platoon is moving to AT915269. At 1145hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is at AT912267 while on patrol found a bouncing Betty type booby trap with trip wire 1 ½’ high in trench leading to bunker, destroyed in place. Then the 1st and 2nd Platoons closed on their Patrol Bases at AT917266 and AT915268. At 1945hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon with Command Post closed in on their Night Defense Position at AT903264 and the 1st Platoon closed on their Night Defense Position at AT908269.
Charlie Company
September 24, 1971
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Siberia. At 1200hrs 2nd Platoon at BT031388 had a routine Dust Off for 2 results 1 bite on right hand and 2nd cut on left hand Dust Off completed at 1245hrs to Da Nang. Charlie Company reports SP4 Daniel R. Flores and PFC Charles R. Flowers where evac to the 95th Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

At 1625hrs Delta Company is moving to their Night Defense Position at AT767245 and they closed on this location at 1900hrs with Command Post 2nd Platoon at AT866246 and 2nd Platoon snake at AT868248.
Echo Company
September 24, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
