Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0620hrs Helix 32 we have a preplanned Air Strike at grid BS720563 and S-3 Air gave clearance. At 0645hrs Battalion Command Message to all companies "Insect Repellent Keep Malaria Away". At 0713hrs Helix has request clearance on grid BS711454 for an air strike, cleared grid. At 0815hrs Charlie Company informed that their Northern most location is BS810425 Southern most location BS845415. Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Gaza Strip Operations.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 1000hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at BS607438 found 1 155mm road with pressure type firing devise on LZ Liz Access road and destroyed in place.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission of the Clearing Operation. At 1123hrs Alpha Company Urgent Dust Off request 1 US was struck in the groin and possible a rupture, when a tree fell on him. Name Smiderbush of Bravo Company Engineer Battalion Dust Off complete 1131hrs. Alpha Company 1307hrs Urgent Dust Off, is Requested 1 US with frag of the lower leg and possible a concussion. They hit a 155 round Gray has frag of the left arm and back and Campagna has frag of the left leg and possible concussion. Both from Bravo Company 39th Engineer and Dust Off is completed at 1320hrs. While have to provide extra security for equipment which can’t be moved till morning waiting for parts Change the location for the 93 element to vicinity BS780511.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company working with the Vietnamese is using Sweep and Clear operations also multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1645hrs Bravo Company at BS778448 has 1 Vietnamese child with frag wounds was Dust Off by Command and Control Helicopter to 91 Evac at 1652hrs.
Charlie Company

At 0815hrs Charlie Company reports Northern most element at BS810425 and Southern most location BS845415. At 1815hrs Charlie Company at BS809468 request Urgent Dust Off for 1 US with heat exhaustion, Dust Off completed at 1824hrs. Charlie Company Day Logger is at BS812486 and at 2030hrs Charlie Company Night Defense Logger will be at BS813481.
Delta Company

Delta Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0540hrs 4.2 Platoon reports 10 Supporting Missions total expend 20 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0915hrs Recon 1st PZ at 0847hrs and the last LZ was at 1914hrs returned to LZ Liz.
