Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1055hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer Road is open from LZ Bronco to Bong Song. At 1755hrs 3-1 Infantry reports S-4 Truck is stuck in mud, 2 trucks helped, 2 sharks for cover, 1800hrs freed and 1850hrs closed on LZ Dragon. At 2005hrs LZ Bronco went on gray alert Duc Pho received incoming rounds, and back to White Alert at 2100hrs.
Alpha Company

At 0900hrs Alpha Company reports their locations 133 at BS485615, 173 is at BS489603 and Command Post (-) is at BS485511, still working their Area of Operation. At 1225hrs Alpha Company at BS483614 found 3 huts, 1 cave (3 by 15’) and 2 empty mortar casings about a month old. At 1358hrs Alpha Company at BS484600 received 1 round sniper fire, sending element to check area at this time. Alpha Company set up their Night Defense Position Alpha Company is at BS485615 and 173 at BS493602 with Command Post (-) at BS485610. PFC John D. Weber was attached to the 312th Evac Hospital at 1400hrs.

At 0900hrs Charlie Company start their Search and Destroy operations in the direction to BS453625.
Delta Company

At 0900hrs Delta Company reports their locations 133-BS410593, 173-BS408583, D (-) BS413593. At 1200hrs Delta Company reports their locations Command Post at BS414593, 163 at BS416597 and 173 at BS403587. At 1510hrs Delta Company at BS410597 found small base camp area, 4 huts, 1500lbs of rice, 4 cans assorted medical supplies. At 1420hrs Delta Company at BS413593 found 1 60-year-old woman, 1 male 30 years old. Women can’t walk she has frag wounds, 2 VC Suspects CIA. At 1820hrs Delta Company has established their Night Defense Position at 18250hrs vicinity BS413597.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Cork where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Cork where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 0900hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS497598. At 1200hrs Recon Platoon at BS549598 received small arms fire and no casualties, 1 Chi Com hand grenade reports 1 US KHA called in Artillery and Command and Control helicopter is in the area. At 1820hrs Recon Platoon reports their Night Defense Position at BS496599. Echo Company reports PFC THOMAS HERSCHEL SCHNEIDER WAS LISTED AS KIA.
