Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued working with ARVN nits in their Area of Operations. At 0133hrs 1-20 Infantry called off beacon drop flight pattern plan following would go straight across LZ Bronco, felt it would hit Charlie Company. At 1000hrs 11th Brigade TOC to 1-20 Infantry move your Recon Platoon south and west from present location by 1300hrs, Area of Operation will be turned over to Aerial Scouts. At 1915hrs Bridge notified 1-20 Infantry and E Troop 1-Calvary tracks to move with 1-20 Infantry on 25 May are on hold, they be prepared to move at first light on orders from Headquarters.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0010hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense radar reports 4-5 VC at BS831401fired mortars, believe enemy KIA will check it out in morning. At 0915hrs 19 Engineer Casualties in 0700 action is up to 4 US KIA and 6 US WIA(M). At 1800hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer out of LZ Lowboy reference contact at 0655hrs At grid BS910161 just south of the I Corp Area of Operation and Sa Huynh should read 6 US KIA, and 10 WIA (E). Charlie Company 19 Engineer has SP4 MARK WILIAM FENNER, PVT ELMER EUGENE FIELDS, PFC DAVID ALLEN HARGENS, SP4 GARY ARNOLD NEAVOR, SP4 STANLEY TURNER AND PVT CARL FREDERICK LYBAND LISTED AS KIA.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company conducts Recon in Force to BS738455, BS767411, and BS777417. At 1137hrs Alpha Company vicinity BS738457 detained 2 VCS. At 1200hrs Alpha Company at BS738457 KIA VC, 25 years old evading, negative ID, dressed in black PJ, also villagers said 10 days ago (May 14) 10 vehicles came through their village at night questioning villager now will evac, a villager for question by S-2. At 1820hrs Alpha Company at BS738457 detained 2 female VCS pointed out Women’s Association, members sent to LZ Bronco.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts their multiple night ambushes and then security of their Night Defense Position. At 0630hrs Bravo Company conducts a Combat Assault from BS753404 to vicinity BS808464.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continues their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation. Charlie Company has a night Recon in Force vicinity BS796413, BS800426, and BS784433. At 0700hrs Charlie Company engaged 1 NVA with results of 1 NVA KIA. At 1510hrs Charlie Company had 1 Vietnamese child brought 1 75mm round US manufactured said got it at grid BS776416. At 1525hrs LATE Report At 0700hrs Charlie Company at BS797418 the 33 element found a grave with 1 NVA Killed by small arms fire, dressed in dark brown uniform, color uniform was the same type that hit the Ville 2 days ago.

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon at 0630hrs conducts a Sweep and Clear operation to vicinity BS804324. At 0910hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS849400. At 1157hrs the Recon Platoon vicinity BS738457 detained 1 VCS wearing light blue PJ, negative ID and had a bicycle chain around 1 leg and will evac to LZ Bronco and reports their location at 1200hrs grid BS843390. At 1210hrs Recon has closed on LZ Bronco.
