Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0145hrs Sa Huynh received small arms fire and Hard Stand received 2 M79 rounds. At 0220hrs Duc Pho received 5 rounds 82mm mortar rounds inside the village and 2 rounds on perimeter. At 0220hrs LZ Max received 3 rounds 82mm mortar rounds. At 0810hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC LRRP Oregon at BS643535 requested extraction 1 man hit by booby trap, Command and Control Helicopter Dust Off an extracted team completed at 0755hrs. At 0925hrs 1-20 Infantry at 0845hrs vicinity BS913247 Command and Control Helicopter received automatic fire, ship took a couple of rounds stop at LZ Charlie Brown to check ship and sent gun ships to work over the area. At 1830hrs E Troop at 1830hrs vicinity BS917168 about 700 meters north of LZ Lowboy track hit by RPG in front, Vehicle total, salvaged 50 and 60 caliber machineguns and 2 M-16, 1M-79 and lost M-M-60 machine gun with no casualties. At 1907hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at LZ Snoopy reports at 1750hrs received 9 82mm Mortar rounds with results 6 WIA (E) to 312 Evac and 4 WIA (M).
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with Security of bridges. At 0145hrs Charlie Brown and Sa Huynh received small arms fire and Hard Stand received 2 M-79 rounds. At 1430hrs Charlie Company 32 is at BS915247 and at 1600hrs 32 is at LZ Bronco for Security Mission and at 1800hrs Alpha Company has ambushes at BS923217 and BS933228.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and security for bridge 124 and at 1150hrs Bravo Company going to Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
Charlie Company
March 24, 1969
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1800hrs Charlie Company ambushes is located at BS887313. At 2235hrs Charlie Company at BS887313 ambush 32 received 20 to 25 small arms fire returning to thunder, on the return to LZ Thunder received 15 to 20 rounds small arms fired 20 caliber in area with unknown results.
Delta Company

Delta Company at 1230hrs returned to LZ Liz and has taken over the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1800hrs Delta Company has an element at BS752436 with an LP at BS754420. At 1830hrs LZ Liz OP in vicinity BS715435 observed 8 VC moving west on 515 with bikes, 4 VC walking believe to be carrying party. At 1930hrs LZ Liz OP at 1905hrs observed 3 VC moving out to east on 515 Highway. At 2120hrs Delta Company on Bridge 124 spotted lights 35 meters east, call illumination. At 2130hrs Delta Company on LZ Liz heard drum beating believe to be VC using for communication.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0942hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Recon Platoon at 0850hrs vicinity BS766439 urgent Dust Off for Vietnamese 4-7 years old boy hit by rounds, jumped and ran, Recon called for to halt, he stopped, and started running again and they fired on him Dust Off completed at 0925hrs. At 1800hrs Recon Platoon reports location at LZ Liz. At 1830hrs at LZ Liz OP vicinity BS715435 observed 8 VC moving west on 515 with bikes, 4 VC walking believe to be a carrying party. SP4 Charles D. Locke was injured and evac to 23rd Medical Battalion at 1540hrs.
