Headquarters and Headquarter Company
June 24, 1969
Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry is located at LZ Liz carrying out their Mission in their Area of Operations and working with ARVN units. At 1020hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Dust Off for 3 Vietnam children with frag wounds. At 1345hrs 1-20 Infantry received message that A Calvary will go to LZ Liz tonight and they will marry up with 4-21 Infantry by the river tomorrow morning. Delta Company on LZ Liz report spotted 15 NVA at BS762422 engaged now with Mortar and Artillery and small arms fire requested Gun Ships request denied.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of General support for the Battalion along with playing a major role in LZ Bronco Base Defense. At 1500hrs Mat team 27 received sniper fire, resulting in 1 WIA at BS883307.
Alpha Company
June 24, 1969
Alpha Company will work from their Day Logger at BS843414 with multiple Patrolling and Sweep and Clear operation in their Area of Operation. Alpha Company Night Defense Position is at BS835427 and as the were closing at 2050hrs Alpha Company receiving small arms fire with negative casualties.
Bravo Company
June 24, 1969
At 1010hrs Bravo Company at BS743385 their Day Logger and at 1020hrs request a priority Dust Off evac Vietnamese child 20 days old with unhealed naval Dust Off completed at 1027hrs. At 1740hrs Bravo Company located at BS722440 and at 1810hrs request Dust Off, man with fractured foot. Then at 1920hrs Bravo Company is located at BS721438.
Charlie Company
June 24, 1969
At 0945hrs Charlie Company are located at their Day Logger at BS825368. At 1150hrs Charlie Company location is at BS825368, 72 BS846364, and 76 at BS845370. At 1740hrs Charlie Company elements closed back in their Day Logger and at 1920hrs Charlie Company has moved to their Night Defense Position at BS834375.
Delta Company
June 24, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1020hrs at LZ Liz Dust Off completed at 1027hrs for 3 Vietnamese children with frag wounds. At 2130hrs Delta Company at BS762422 spotted 15 NVA engaged with mortars and requested gun ships request is denied instructed to call artillery.
Echo Company
June 24, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
