Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0155hrs E Troop at BS813361 (Bridge 111) received 2 incoming RPG rounds results 7 US WHA evac, 1 APC knocked out, request Dust Off. At 0820hrs Helix 31A at BS791317 known infiltration route, 2 secondary fires, 25 meters of trench lines destroyed. At 1158hrs Air Strike at BS760492, 1 VCS evac to Duc Pho negative ID and Air Strike at BS835233 several trails going in to valley at BS773351 found new bunkers, 1 VC KIA also recent movement at BS626460 destroy 3 camo huts.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
January 24, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 1255hrs Alpha SRRP at BS704515 report at BS639524 1 VC KIA killed by artillery. At 1530hrs Alpha Company at BS790493 detained 5 VC suspect for questioning. At 1600hrs Alpha at BS788494 engaged 2 VC evading and result is 2 VC KIA, and at BS784520 engaged 1 VC engaged 1 VC evading results is 1 VC KIA. At 1700hrs Alpha Company reports at BS719454 2 to 3 VC maybe more 500 meters from their position moving west to east calling in Artillery.
Bravo Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
Delta Company
January 24, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At LZ Charlie Brown reference Dust Off for Vietnamese boy who came to medics at LZ Charlie Brown with bad burns, Dust Off completed at 1128hrs evac to Duc Pho. At 1000hrs Delta Company 23 reports their location at BS887277 and at 1228hrs report they have closed on LZ Charlie Brown. At 1910hrs Vietnamese had 2 junks coming in and being shot at by people on Charlie Brown, checked with 1-20 Infantry said they received 5 rounds 30caliber from that area. Have stopped firing 1 Vietnamese sailor WHA Dust Off completed at 1930hrs.
Echo Company
January 24, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission on LZ Liz.
