Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1055hrs Message from Brigade S-2 permission granted for extension of Recon Platoon Stand Down. At 1450hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports Command and Control helicopter received small arms fire and put Artillery in with negative results.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0745hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS717596 received 5 rounds of sniper fire negative casualties, returned fire with automatic weapons. Spotted VC call in 6rounds 105mm Artillery with negative results. At 0835hrs the 26 Engineer reports their Command and Control Helicopter at BS700510 received moderate small arms fire, negative hits and continued Mission. At 1100hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer report a 290 earth mover hit mine, tractor combat loss and Operator WHA (M) the mine was 30-35pounds TNT pressure type. At 2304hrs LZ Bronco 2 rounds fired within perimeter, EM has made a mistake while clearing weapon.
Alpha Company

At 1725hrs Alpha Company continued to block and observe the Area of Operation. Alpha Company (-) is at LZ Dragon with the Command Post and 21 element at BS614586, the 61 element is at BS614581 and 21 has an ambush at BS615586. Alpha Company also has it night ambushes 61 at BS614581 and the 91 ambush at BS615586. There was a 2nd set of fighters at 1720hrs at BS643585 and 3 bunkers where uncovered 75 meters north of grid.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz and LZ Dragon.
Charlie Company

At 0820hrs Charlie Company is now at LZ Bronco for their Stand Down. Charlie Company 61 has Security Mission for LZ Dragon.
Delta Company

At 1030hrs Delta Company reports their located at BS625556, Delta Company has taken up a blocking position and observations. At 1720hrs Delta Company a second set of fights for Helix O3 (VRI) 39 put in at BS643585 air strike with Bomb Damage Assessment – 2 second explosions and 3 bunkers uncovered 75 meters north of grid. Delta Company continued to block and observe. Delta Company Night Defense Position is located at BS634556 at 1805hrs. Delta Company 21 element with ambush is located at BS632554.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Liz where Battalion Forward is located and coordinates the Battalion Rear elements and Base Defense element on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Liz where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 0820hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS623569. At 1330hrs Recon Platoon conducts a Air Move from PZ BS624566 to LZ 1330hrs and closed on LZ Dragon at 1430hrs this move was complete using the utilities ship, Recon will be move by truck to LZ Bronco from LZ Dragon. At 1725hrs Recon Platoon report closed on LZ Bronco for their Stand Down.
