Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0750hrs 1-20 Infantry will cease all day light operations and beginning 231900 May, it will begin active and aggressive night operations. At 1930hrs 1-20 Infantry notified operations of Recon Platoon ambush is on standby, if they do not go tonight they will Combat Assault into LZ #3 at 0630hrs and will work east then south to Bronco, under control of the 1-20 Infantry. At 1810hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer will be at Bud for the last day.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2315hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense radar reports 2-3 VC at BS830405, at 2105hrs 3 VC at BS842395, 2137hrs 5 VC at BS837384, at 2315hrs 4 VC at BS811412 and fired artillery and mortars on above grids.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS765416.
Bravo Company
May 23, 1969
Bravo Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to BS760379. Bravo Company will conducts multiple night ambushes in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
May 23, 1969
Charlie Company continues their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation. Charlie Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to BS804428 also have night ambushes BS796413, BS800426 and BS784433. At 0115hrs Charles Company at BS788425 received 20 rounds of RPG and 5 rounds 82mm mortar with the results of 2 US WIA (M) and Dust Off completed at 0745hrs. At 0745hrs 1-20 Infantry will cease all daylight operation beginning 23 1900hrs it will begin active and aggressive night operation. At 0825hrs the 53 element requested Dust Off for one woman she had frag wounds in head, leg and wrist completed at 0828hrs at BS771461. At 0830hrs Charlie Company has 1 US injured received frag when blowing dud round Dust Off completed by truck BS788425.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts an Air movement to Chu Lai for their Stand Down and was completed at 1025hrs.
Echo Company
May 23, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon remains on LZ Bronco again to support Base Defense.
