Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Ross for Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA and are OPCON to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. At 0725hrs reports that F Troop 17 Calvary leaving LZ Ross at this time and will be OPCON to Bravo Company Bravo Company 3-21 Infantry. At 1035hrs 1-20 Infantry request Dust Off for possible hepatitis to this location and completed at 1135hrs. At 1435hrs Convoy from LZ Baldy leaves and arrived at LZ Ross at 1525hrs. At 1640hrs Convoy leaves from LZ Ross and arrived at LZ Baldy at 1745hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
May 23, 1968
Alpha Company has the Security Mission for LZ Ross and road security. F Troop 17 Calvary is released from OPCON and returned to LZ Baldy. At 1435hrs has departed LZ Baldy for LZ Ross and arrived LZ Ross at 1525hrs. At 1640hrs Convoy departed LZ Ross and arrived at LZ Baldy at 1745hrs.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Ryder with OP and will be conducting local Security Patrols in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
May 23, 1968
Charlie Company swept east closed and closed on LZ Ross and taken over the Security Mission for LZ Ross. Both Alpha Company and Charlie Company report their location on LZ Ross.
Delta Company
May 23, 1968
Delta Company conducts sweep to the North vicinity of AT9940 from AT992392 to AT994391 and setting up some Day Ambushes and Multiple night Ambushes. At 0729hrs vicinity AT994376 Delta Company found 2 fresh graves containing 2 VC KIA. Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position at AT992392.
Echo Company
May 23, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where Battalion Forward, is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense on LZ Ross. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Ross where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon manned OP Tiger, Cobra and Dragon.
