Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry was inform to move one Company south of LZ Bronco this afternoon to work BS 8236 area for a few days. Charlie Company moving to that Area of Operations and Delta Company takes over their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued to carry out their Mission of general support for the Battalion. At 0140hrs LZ Bronco received 10-12 rounds of 75mm rounds, 25-30 rounds RPG and 8 rounds 82mm mortar. The reports 4 WIA from 1-20 Infantry, enemy vicinity is at grids BS830380, BS832350 and BS822361. At 0230hrs LZ Bronco received 7-10 82mm mortar, 5-7 rounds 75mm Recoilless rounds, 10-15 RPG, 1 WIA (M) from HHC 11th Brigade and 1 sapper in wire KIA, 2 more evade searching at present, 1 satchel charge CIA, enemy grids BS773370, BS778378 and BS774364. At 1515hrs E Troop 1 Cav at BS804346 received small arms fire with negative assessment. At 2225hrs Bronco Bunker line at BS810374 spotted with starlight scope. 4 VC heading for bunker line at BS810374 engaged with spotlight. PFC Francis J. Kohn was evac to the 27th Surgical Hospital with frag wounds to left leg at 0945hrs. SP4 Edward R. Haysler with gunshot wound to foot and frag wounds to back, and PFC George F. Dunn with fag wounds face, stomach and right arms they where evac to the 312th Evac Hospital at 1400hrs. Total WIA from 1-20 Infantry 7 (M).
Alpha Company

At 0750hrs Alpha Company at BS813408 found rice, 30 to 40 pounds also was informed that several NVA were in Ville were wounded there for over 3 days ago and moved out to BS818403. At 1155hrs Alpha Company at BS818403 and evac to LZ Liz also found small amount of ammo in hut and found clothing burning outside hut. At 1400hrs Alpha Company reports their located was BS828407. At 1715hrs Alpha Company requested Dust Off for 1 man possible malaria, completed at 1725hrs they then moved into their Night Defense Position at BS843414.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to BS760379. Bravo Company will conducts multiple night ambushes in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
June 23, 1969
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1600hrs Charlie Company Conduct a Combat Assault PZ 1600hrs and LZ 1620hrs are sent to the area south of Bronco for a few days area of BS8236. At 1920hrs Charlie Company are located at BS804324, and at BS834375.
Delta Company

At 0750hrs Delta Company has moved to LZ Liz to take over the Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Echo Company
June 23, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0750hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS739457. At 0825hrs Recon Platoon vicinity BS739457 caught 2 VCS 1 male, 40 years old, phony looking ID, while starting to pick up he yelled to VCS female 40 years old who then tried to evade, also found 7,000 pounds of rice. At 1400hrs Recon reports location at BS745456 on way back to LZ Liz which they closed on at 1650hrs.
