Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. LATE SPOT at 0139hrs PRU, MACV Mo Duc at 211700hrs vicinity BS719549 PRU captured 2 VCI. At 0140hrs MACV Mo Duc, at 221500hrs vicinity Bs713614, a CH-47 (Chinook) received around 300 rounds of AK 47 fire. While taking off from Snoopy, no hits were sustained. At 0226hrs Bravo Company LT Woianski inspected bunkers 1, 2, 3, 15, 16 and 17 all were satisfactory. At 1002hrs 1-20 Infantry Combat Assault of Alpha Company and Bravo Company: 1 PZ 0931hrs Bravo Company at to first LZ at 0940hrs vicinity BS695473 and BS709478 and Last LZ Alpha Company LZ Liz. At 1007hrs 1-20 Infantry Hornet 25 is on station at this time. At 1300hrs LATE SPOT RF 1-30 on 230800hrs vicinity BS907158 while on a road clearing operation hit a mine resulting in 1 RF KIA, not US confirmed. The RF 417 at 230830hrs vicinity BS911156 while on Search and Clear Operation made contact with unknown size enemy force resulting in 2 VC KIA, 1 .45 caliber pistol CIA, not US confirmed. The PF 187 on 230830hrs vicinity BS779457 while on road clearing operation received sniper fire resulting in 1 civilian KIA and 2 civilians WIA, the civilians were in a vehicle following the PF. The WIA where taken to Duc Pho US confirmed. At 1530hrs 1-20 Infantry Americal Division Commander M arrived on LZ Liz. At 1750hrs TO Brigade FROM Commanding Officer 1-20 Infantry General M arrived on LZ Liz at 1530hrs and received Tactical bridging was interested in the way our people were so spread out on security missions and what items were having trouble getting through supply channel, departed at 1550hrs. At 1905hrs 1-20 Infantry Field Strength: Bravo 59, Charlie 45, Delta 56, Echo 21 and HHC 8. At 2030hrs Honest Black is checking Bronco perimeter, at 2051hrs checking LIZ perimeter and at 2100hrs to Snoopy and broke station at 2112hrs. At 2035hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out: Bravo 2, Charlie 2 and Delta 3 for a total of 7 out. Legend: 1st Platoon 81, 2nd Platoon 83, 3rd Platoon 59, 4th Platoon 88, CO-50.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai. SP4 Levy J. Evans was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital (SEE Charlie Company).
Alpha Company

Bravo and Alpha Companies conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 0934hrs and last LZ 1002hrs with Alpha Company on LZ Liz and taken over the Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company Continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road security. Bravo and Charlie Companies conduct a Combat Assault 1st PZ at 0931hrs and last LZ at 1002hrs and LZ at BS709478 for Bravo Company. Bravo Company reports Field Strength being 59. Bravo Company will use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 2004hrs Bravo Company reports Night locations Command Post with 1st Platoon is at BS704473 and 2nd Platoon is at BS699464 with 2 Mechanical Ambushes out.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company set up Patrol Base and conducts multiple patrols in their Area of Operation. At 0756hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon and Command Post while in their Patrol Base vicinity BS703501 tripped a booby trap consisting of a can of Petna with trip wire device situated near a bush (no on a trail) with results was 1 US WHA with abdominal wound to stomach and burn on the face, at 0800hrs the man was Dust Off by Hornet 25 (Resupply Bird). The man’s name was Evans, Levy (medic) line # E9542. At 1320hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving to BS699490. At 1543hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving to BS702501. At 2025hrs Charlie Company reports Command Post and 2nd Platoon have moved into their Night Defense Position at BS705503 with 2 Mechanical Ambush out. SP4 Levy J. Delta Company

Delta Company will continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0630hrs Delta Company all elements in Patrol Base 2nd Platoon and Command Post is at BS752365 and the 1st Platoon is at BS753375. At 1635hrs Delta Company the Command Post had a cow kid about 9 bring in a small anti tank mine, vicinity BS755367. They were cylindrical in shape about 5" high and 4" in diameters was blown in place, the mine contained some while phosphorous, paid 500 Piasters. At 2013hrs Delta Company locations Command Post and 2nd Platoon at BS758372, 2nd Platoon ambush BS759367, 1st Platoon at BS747379, 1st Platoon ambush at BS744367, 1st Platoon at BS747379, and 1st Platoon ambush at BS744378 with 3 Mechanical Ambush out. At 2130hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon observed 1 light approximately 1000 meters to the southwest of their Night Defense Position vicinity BS739371. They engaged the area with Artillery and the light went out, will check at 1st Light.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0618hrs Recon is moving out to the base of LZ Liz to meet the rest of Recon element. At 0618hrs Recon element is at the base of LZ Liz. At 0705hrs Recon is now in it blocking position at this time located at vicinity BS740445 and BS765440. At 1500hrs Recon closed on LZ Liz at this time. At 1815hrs Recon is moving out to their Night Defense Position vicinity BS746416 and closed on their location at 1945hrs.
