Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1320hrs 1-20 Infantry Command and Control Helicopter at 745455 detained 2 VCS also received small arms fire negative hits also found 1 bicycle and 100 pounds of salt, bicycle evac to LZ Liz.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0140hrs to 0215hrs LZ Bronco received small arms fire and automatic fire from western side of perimeter went on yellow alert at 0140hrs and not DTOC. Dispatched 2 tracks to Bunker 27 and 28 alert reactionary force. At 0215hrs returned all sector with C sector to Gray. SP4 Raymond J. Conners was evac to 2nd Surgical Hospital.

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1130hrs Bravo Company at BS746457 detained 4 VC suspects for questioning.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1310hrs Delta Company 21 is at BS910293 with 54 at Bridge 94.
Echo Company
January 23, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
