Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0915hrs Helix 31 FAC we are putting in an Air Strike at grid BS778523. At 1539hrs Battalion AJAX: Alpha Company 91 (Alpha Company plus Engineers and tracks 205), Bravo Company 102, Charlie Company 95, Delta Company 87, Recon 23 and 4.2 28.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0930hrs Bravo Company 26 Engineer at BS835283 found 1 45 pound anti tank mine, destroyed mine. It was on the side of road and the Road is passable.
Alpha Company

At 1321hrs Alpha Company the 73 element is at grid BS777522, 13 is at grid BS789521, and 93 is at BS768527 to carry out their Security Mission of Clearing operation and clearing area at BS764535, BS768528, BS770524 and BS785528.
Bravo Company
October 22, 1969
Bravo Company will be using sweep and clear operations, multiple patrolling and Daylight Ambushes in their Area of Operation today. At 1935hrs Request Urgent Dust Off a female Vietnamese brought a baby who is choking on something, the medic can’t stop her from choking completed at 1951hrs. At 2015hrs Bravo Company the 16 element with Vietnamese spotted VC, and blew a claymore we are checking out the area now with negative results.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0814hrs Charlie Company element conducts a Combat Assault.
Delta Company
October 22, 1969
Delta Company 13 is moving out their patrol and 73 element patrol the Area of Operation until 2040hrs as Delta Company moved into their Night Defense Position with snakes in position.
Echo Company
October 22, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0550hrs 4.2 Platoon Report Observe Mission 1 for total expend 25 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0955hrs Recon Platoon is now closing on LZ Liz.
