Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters reports their location at LZ Liz and will continued their work with ARVN units in join Operations in their Area of Operations. Legend: 1st Platoon 12-18, 2nd Platoon 62-68, 3rd Platoon 82-88, 4th Platoon 32-38, CO 44 and Q Company 76C. At 1215hrs Q Company bought 1 60mm HE round from 4 Vietnamese children at BS695600, paid cans boned turkey. At 1635hrs Q Company found 1 dud 105 HE round vicinity BS693597, it was not booby trap and was destroyed in place. Also purchased 1 dud 81mm HE round from 7 Vietnamese children, they paid 5 bags of M&M, 2 cans of date pudding and 1 pack of camels. At 1750hrs 1-20 Infantry Dolphin 29 is on station to extract Alpha Company rice. At 1835hrs 1-20 Infantry Dolphin 29 on station reports breaking at this time after extracting 2200 pounds of rice from Alpha Company. Rice extracted to LZ Bronco to Brigade S-5, no rice remaining at Alpha Company.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

At 1222hrs Alpha Company requests Routine Dust Off, for 1 Vietnamese (friendly) with internal hemorrhaging, 2nd Platoon in vicinity BS755599, she was bleeding from the mouth, her two children evacuated too at 1418hrs. At 1620hrs Alpha Company extracted 800 pounds of rice from 1st platoon location 1,100 pound of Rice from 2nd Platoon extracted to Brigade S-5. Alpha Company 1st Platoon has 1200 pounds of bagged rice, Command Post has 1,000 pounds of bagged rice this is all the rice they have at their location. At 1950hrs Alpha Company 3rd vicinity BS765612 spotted movement of 15-20 VC/NVA were moving to the south of their location. They waited until the enemy was 20 meters from their location before engaging. At 2350hrs follow up on action 3rd Platoon engaged enemy at 20 meters to the south. Two Chieu Hoi was found at BS768600, he said there were 10 VC, 2 females, and 8 males 5 had weapons 5 were from C-19, the other 5 were local force guerillas. His name is Phan Duc from Quang Tu Nghia. The VC hiding under the over turned boat vicinity BS769598 was already wounded when 3rd Platoon engaged him, 3 Platoon had 1 of it’s rounds go into his head which is what killed him. Also CIA 1 AK-47, both KIA were wearing black shorts and blue shirt. 1st Platoon checked out hamlet vicinity BS765599.Totals of contact: 2 VC KIA, 1 Chieu Hoi CIA, 2 AK-47, 26 Chi Com hand frag, 4 Rucksacks, 1 AK 47 Magazine, 1 bag with 36 AK rounds, 2 ponchos, medical supplies, documents, 1 diary, 2 hammock, clothes, 2 pictures, ribbon. Nighthawk confirms KIA to Alpha Company which they saw when he came on station, Nighthawk given credit of 1 VC in a bunker engaged during contact.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company used Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation today also the 2nd Platoon found 1 booby trap located on a trail between 2 hedgerows it was a Chi Com grenade which had a trip wire, which they blew in place.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
November 22, 1970
Delta Company will continue to work in their Area of Operation, using a Recon in Force. At 0943hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving to BS667577. At 1050hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 1, vicinity BS659568. At 1310hrs Delta Company is at their Patrol Base at BS668576. At 1327hrs Battalion S-4 reports Dolphin 671 on station for resupply. At 1550hrs Delta Company 1st Patrol is at checkpoint 1, vicinity BS686570, 2nd Platoon is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS665563 and 3rd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS674565. At 1925hrs Delta Company has moved into their Night Defense Positions with Command Post, 2nd 3rd 4th Platoons located at BS666574 and 1st Platoon is at BS666574.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 1807hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Dragon.
