Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. The I Corp ARVN Commanding General is commit to Fire Support Base Dragon at 0900hrs today. At 1045hrs 1-20 Infantry Firefly mission is disapproved for tonight, Co 174 Aviation and CO 1-20 Infantry are to Recon area for suspected 75RR site for probable LZ for night Combat Assault. Recon Platoon 1-20 Infantry will be on alert at airfield for immediate loading and Combat Assault near site where 75 RR is being fired. At 1945hrs 1-20 Infantry firing DT and had a bad round which landed in the RD area, do not know if there are any casualties or damage. Alpha Company on LZ Liz spot 2 dinks in front of bunker 18 put small arms fire on them, checked area found 2 16 boys heading to Ville unhurt, 1 dead cow. At 2150hrs LZ Liz south perimeter spotted movement in front of bunker #5 trip flare went off and threw hand grenade with negative results
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0100hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense Bronco radar spotted 4-5 VC at BS832405, 3-4 VC at BS833399, and 3-4 VC at BS834395 and fired artillery on above grids. At 1405hrs report have SRRP is located at BS709376. At 1420hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense engaged 2 VC evading at BS827406, results 2 VC KIA, negative weapon or pack.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company conducts a blocking position with 1 Platoon in position vicinity BS7244 for 1st Battalion ARVN Regiment. Alpha Company turns into a Recon in Force to BS765416.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS720425 and then conducts a Company Recon in Force to BS760379.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continues their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operations. At 1145hrs Charlie Company request a Dust Off for at BS785428 for 1 Vietnamese with appendicitis.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to grid BS797362 and prepared for an air movement in the morning. At 2130hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS788375.
Echo Company
May 22, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon returns to LZ Bronco to again support Base Defense.
