Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry is located on LZ Liz and carrying out their Mission working with the ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. At 1008hrs 1-20 Infantry C32 working on LZ Liz received round 82mm mortar negative casualties or damage vicinity BS753421. At 1500hrs E Troop 1 Cav at BS888305 engaged 1 VC results 1 VC KIA and at 1535hrs at BS 898304 engaged 1 VC results 1 VC KIA. At 1645hrs vicinity BS820446 a convoy moving from Sa Huynh to LZ Bronco came under attack. At 1700hrs E troop sent 5 additional tracks to the site of contact. At 1730hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry 92 element Combat Assault into the area results of action 1018th Trans 1 KIA and 1 WIA (E) 63rd Trans 5 WIA 4(E) 1 (M) E Troop 4 WIA 2 (E) 2 (M) and Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry 2 WIA (E) and 1 KIA. E Troop 1st Calvary had 1 track burn and 75-2 had one truck burn. Captured were 2 AK-47 and 1 RPG #2, also captured were 3 NVA from 95th NVA Battalion all WIA at grid BS820346.
Battalion Rear: The Battalion rear continued their Mission of providing general support for the Battalion and take part in the Defense Positions of LZ Bronco. At 1045hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS932222 detonated a pressure type mine on access road to Charlie Brown with results 5 WIA (E) and Dust Off completed at 1105hrs to LZ Bronco Vehicle was crane, and a combat Loss.
Alpha Company

At 1035hrs Alpha Company move to their Day Logger at BS803420 and a Sweep and Clear Operation to BS784423 and at 1315hrs Alpha Company at BS803420 found 3 75mm Recoilless Rifle rounds and destroyed in place. At 2000hrs Alpha Company moved into their Night Defense Position at BS802426 with element located at BS798427.
Bravo Company
June 22, 1969
At 1030hrs Bravo Company at BS731451 in their Night Defense Position and detained 1 female VC 17, has been member Woman Association for 3 months, was received by May Cay (VC Tax collector) her job to gather villagers together to pay taxes and dig foxholes along trails. Has knowledge of 3 to 4 VC in her hamlet, also have 67 man says 10 days ago at 1900hrs 10 NVA passed through his hamlet. At 1345hrs Bravo Company moved to BS715455. By 2000hrs Bravo Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS734470 with 93 at BS730467.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
June 22, 1969
At 0845hrs Delta Company is located at BS798397 and Delta Company using Recon in Force to BS781408 to their Day Logger position. At 1910hrs Delta Company is at BS773423 and by 2000hrs Delta moved into their Night Defense Position at BS778425 with 34 at BS775411 and 75 at BS772421.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon has their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
