Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0750hrs Charlie Company 19th Engineer Mine Sweep team was ambushed at BS920180. They ran into a Command Detonated mine and received approximately 100 rounds small arms fire one office received minor wounds, sweep the are and found 300 feet of wire and large number of batteries. At 1445hrs Sharks at BS775528 engaged 2 men evading, I with AK47and other carrying basket, 1 with basket was KIA immediately, the other ran into bunker blew bunker results was 2 VC KIA negative weapon.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
January 22, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon with Alpha Company 41 at 723530. Alpha Company reports their locations at 1745hrs 23 at BS720536, 43 BS720523, 44 BS723518 and 53 at BS728518. At 1605hrs Alpha Company SRRP located at BS704515 spotted 1 VC with weapon moving east at BS719438 calling in Artillery.
Bravo Company
January 22, 1969
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0706hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon conducts a Combat Assault from LZ Liz to BS747465 which was Completed at 0724hrs LZ Cold. At 0944hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is picked up and returned to LZ Liz completed back by 0955hrs. Bravo Company at BS753469 detained 5 VC suspects for questioning and they where brought back to LZ Liz.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1745hrs Charlie Company reports their locations 43 at BS841394, 25 BS888846 and 42 BS881320.
Delta Company
January 22, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0940hrs Delta Company at BS915205 APC received several rounds sniper fire, negative casualties, return fire with 81mm mortars, negative assessment at this time. At 1745hrs Delta Company reports their locations are 43 at Bridge 94, 22 BS884284, 23 BS879281, 24 BS877273 and 21 BS878278.
Echo Company
January 22, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their SRRP in their Area of Operations and reported no change in their location at BS725456.and where extracted to LZ Liz at 1400hrs.
