Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1040hrs Charlie Company the 81 element conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ at 1012hrs LZ Thunder and last LZ 1021hrs into BS899309 and BS902307 and LZ cold. At 2200hrs Delta Company 19th Engineer received sniper fire from north end of village, returned fire negative assessments, negative casualties in are. At 2220hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Thunder at BS866316 Engineers are receiving sporadic sniper fire from west, firing 81mm with negative casualties. Heavy enemy activity is being reported in the whole AO.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Charlie Brown with 61 on Bridge 94 and 62 on Bridge 95 and 81 at BS922193. At 1530hrs Delta Company Detroit SRRP is inserted at BS638563 and at 1540hrs Alpha Company reports Akins at BS908233, Charlie Company Calvin is at BS778393.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with 81 on Bridge 124 and with 24 at BS753436 and 69 at BS754420. At 0700hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Recon Platoon element sent in at BS721445 spot of contact and found 2 bodies 1 in OD uniform and 1 blue uniform and 1 AK 47. At 1000hrs Bravo Company 26 is located at BS725423. At 1125hrs Bravo Company at BS725412 detainee 1 VCS 14,hiding under bed in hootch evac to LZ Liz also found 1 M-26 grenade tied to a US pistol belt, 1 plastic poncho, 1ammo pouch, tried to escape 1 KIA. Also Bravo Company at BS717453 observed 4 VC with packs, moving southwest and engaged with artillery, with negative assessment. At 1530hrs Detroit SRRP is inserted at BS638563 at 1540hrs and Akins BS908233, Calvin at BS778393.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1240hrs Charlie Company at BS899307 engaged 1 VC evading and the result was 1 VC KIA. Charlie Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ at 1012hrs and last LZ BS899309 and BS902307 at 1019hrs and at 1040hrs at 1040hrs Sharks working by Charlie Company engaged 1 man evading and 1 VC KIA dressed in white shirt and black bottoms. At 1240hrs Charlie Company at BS899307 1VC evading results in VC KIA negative documents, ID or weapon. At 1820hrs Charlie Company 65 is located at BS862312. At 1530hrs Detroit SRRP is inserted at BS638563 and Akins at BS908233, Calvin at BS778393. At 2220hrs LZ Thunder at BS866316 engineers receiving sporadic sniper fire from the west, firing 81mm with negative casualties.
Delta Company

Delta Company OPCON to 4-21 Infantry continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 1500hrs at BS728524 bunker received 10-20 rounds small arms return with 50 caliber and M-60 fire negative assessment. At 1530hrs Delta Company Detroit SRRP is inserted at BS638563 at 1540hrs SRRP Beretta at BS638563.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Charlie Brown, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
