Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1250hrs 1-20 Infantry on LZ Liz request Dust Off 1 US with hemorrhoids, completed at 1248hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0815hrs the US on Bunker #44 detained 1 man and 1 female with negative ID brought them into LZ Bronco for questioning. At 1210hrs Base Defense reports 1 VC was coming from the Ville and started in to the wire, Bunker 24 engaged him and he evaded back into the Ville.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and continued to provide security patrols for the access road.
Bravo Company
April 22, 1970
Bravo Company and the RF/PF elements are using saturation patrolling and multiple seeps in their Area of Operation today. At 2045hrs Bravo Company the 03 element is received some small arms fire, 2 RPG rounds approximately 400 meters, east of the 03 element. We engaged with small arms with 81mm and artillery illumination. The 06 element from Command Post moving out to the 03 element location for reaction force, checking area found expended AK 47 cartridges where the only finding at grid BS791448.
Charlie Company

At 0810hrs Charlie Company 64 element picked up 2 female Vietnamese detainees will go through MACV channels at BS756455. Charlie Company Night Defense Position is at BS751454 and will have multiple ambushes with another roving patrol and stay behind ambushes.
Delta Company
April 22, 1970
At 0750hrs all Delta Company element have closed on the Command Post awaiting Combat Assault, at 1010hrs First Pick-up Zone and 4th last Landing Zone at 1056hrs to grid BS753402. Delta Company 01element is moving to BS732412, 41 to BS765387, 01 element at 1745hrs spotted 4 VC evading to east at BS766387, the 01 element engaged with negative results. Also found 2 firecracker rounds, 2 Magnesium tubes, 1-2 foot long, 8 inches in diameter. Blew the rounds in place and will bring other to LZ Liz, both were buried in ground. At 2000hrs Delta Company set up their Night Defense Position approximately BS774385 with multiple ambushes are out.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0055hrs Recon Platoon Late Report Addition items found, 22 US Fare parachutes, 6 VC ponchos, 3 US poncho liners, 1 VC hammock, 3 civilian trousers, 1 US poncho carrying case, 1 VC carrying bag. Also 1 loaders belt, 5 US compass carrying cases, 7 M-26 Hand frag, 1 US first aid pouch, 1 US first aid package, 4 VC ponchos, 1 US M-16 cleaning kit carrier, 3 blue uniforms, 1 bush hat, 1 khaki shirt medical supplies, 1 pound of medical equipment all evac. At 1005hrs Recon Platoon reports their location on LZ Liz.
