Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1525hrs UPDATE on Delta Company 19 Engineer at 1000hrs Mine Sweep Team returned to LZ Debbie hit by a command detonated mine. The mine was in the middle of the road and wires lead off to the west side. The mine was about 45-50 pounds the 5 Ton Tuck went about 100 meters before going off road and overturning and a red flare with about 5,000 rounds of automatic weapons fire, results 10 US WHA (E), 11 US WHA (M) and 1 US KHA. There was also 2 mine detectors combat loss and 1 M-14 (XM2120988) combat loss along with 1 5 Ton tuck a combat loss. At 1900hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz OP spotted 5 VC moving south east at BS723453 call artillery going into mountains.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1000hrs Delta Company 19th Engineer at BS919254 Mine Sweep team return from mine sweep hit mine with 30-40 pounds explosive 5 ton vehicle overturned pinning several occupants beneath. Began receiving small arms fire from estimate platoon Delta Company 3-1 Infantry with E Troop 1 Calvary secured the area, casualties 1 KIA, crushed by overturned truck 3 WIA small arms fire with 19 WIA mine frag total 11 Dust Off. At 1310hrs Bravo Company 19 Engineer at BS915255 convoy received automatic weapons fire western side of road, 3 US WIA 1 serious, and 2 minor, Dust Off to LZ Debbie. At 1630hrs 3-1 Infantry Convoy hit at BS913244 results 2 US WIA evac. PFC FELIX JACQUES DELTA COMPANY 19 Engineer is LISTED AS KIA.
Alpha Company

At 1017hrs Alpha Company conducts a Combat Assault to LZ at 1057hrs and is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry Alpha Company is at 625297. At 1555hrs Charlie Company at BS625597 is on a search and clear operation near their Night Defense Position. At 1915hrs Alpha Company is at BS625297, with ambushes at BS823297 and BS627297.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Debbie.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and at 1210hrs Charlie Company is at BS799386 working new Area of Operation. At 1620hrs 63 transportation Company at BS915244 Convoy to LZ Charlie Brown received automatic weapons fire with results 1 WIA (E) Army, and 1 US WIA (E) Navy Dust Off completed at 1730hrs.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1040hrs Delta Company 31 is located at Access Road and at 1210hrs Delta Company 31 closed on LZ Liz. At 1905hrs Delta Company at LZ Liz other night position 23 at Bridge 402U, 25 at BS752439, 24 at BS754420.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Recon reports their night ambush positions at BS705421, BS405426 and BS708417.
