Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0100hrs LZ Siberia went to 100% Alert the reason village at AT912230 being set on fire at Bunkers on Northwest side of LZ Siberia also heard sporadic small arms fire. Results: was 22 homes destroyed, 65 people homeless and 36 civilians kidnapped with 2 PSDF KIA (MACV confirmed) and at 0230hrs LZ Siberia back to 50 % alert. At 0945hrs Brigade RSDF at AT945174 in contact with estimate 2 platoons of NVA.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
September 21, 1971
At 0835hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon moving to their Patrol Base at AT877273. Alpha Company will use their Saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1650hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon is moving to their Night Defense Position at AT874273 and all elements closed at 1810hrs.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West with some Defense Patrolling around the Fire Base.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Siberia. Delta Company

At 1000hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon moving out on patrol at AT862254. At 1755hrs Delta Company is moving to AT863257 and at 1920hrs has closed on their Night Defense Position.
Echo Company
September 21, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 1000hrs Recon is moving to Patrol Base. At 1030hrs Recon report they are at checkpoint AT861252. At 1620hrs S-4 Hornet 22 resupply bird is on station tail # 292. At1810hrs 1-20 Infantry request Area of Operation extension AT85289228 (Heip Duc) AT8824 to AT8524 cleared by (VINH). AT2518 to AT8118, AT8128, AT8428 and AT8929 Brigade (LSK)
