Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and they will continue to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0030hrs 1-20 Infantry Blue Ghost 49 broke station, weather too turbulent to work. At 0605hrs Brigade Weather: increasing cloudiness turning to rain this afternoon, Winds 10 to 20 knots, increasing to 20 to 30 knots. Temp high 75 and low 70, humidity, high 95, low 75, outlook through Monday winds decreasing. At 0845hrs Brigade Weather: Patsy is 180 nautical miles East northeast of Chu Lai with center winds of 45 knots, moving west at 1400hrs. At 212400hrs November 1970 she will be 10 to 15 miles east of Chu Lai. At 0955hrs 1-20 Infantry Area of Operation request for 4-21 Infantry from 220600hrs November 1970 to completion of Eagle Flight, Grid Upper Left BS7433 to Lower Right BS7935 the Purpose Eagle Flight, approved RLM SFC Mason. At 2045hrs 76C at Nui Vong sighted 4 to 5 personnel at BS683604, stationary, negative clearance, due to the proximity of a friendly hamlet. Legend 1st Platoon 12-18, 2nd Platoon 62-68, 3rd Platoon 82-88, 4th Platoon 32-38, CO 44 and Q Company 76C.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will started using Multiple Patrolling in their Area of Operation today. At 0740hrs 2nd Platoon received 2 rounds, semi automatic fire 300 meters to their Southwest. Saw 1 person evading towards a hamlet, 2nd Platoon chased person until they came to water to deep to cross. The person was wearing all black, and appeared to be carrying something in his hand, the platoon turn back with negative finding.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1100hrs 2nd platoon at BS754547 detained 1 Vietnamese male approximately 40 years of age, he walked up to them discarded a rucksack when he spotted them. Interpreter says he is a VC Supplier he takes VC money and buys feed and other supplies in Mo Duc. He meets VC vicinity BS754547 every Tuesday. Bravo Company 1st Platoon vicinity BS743558 engaged 1 VC with weapon, with small arms at 150 meters, he evaded to the west, and they checked the area with negative finding.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Charlie Company 3rd Platoon, Command Post moving out for BS731432, 1st Platoon moving to BS737434, 2nd Platoon to BS735443. At 1105hrs Charles Company 3rd Platoon is in objective area vicinity BS735443. At 1510hrs Charlie Company while on patrol detained 1 Vietnamese female 20 years of age, wearing black and blue, and had an ID. She was in hamlet vicinity BS737432, the women in this hamlet did not know her, and says she is new there the Kit Carson Scout was suspicious of her and her ID card. At 1644hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon spotted 3 VC evading to the east, they engaged at 75 meters, resulting in 1 VC KIA, 25 year of age, dressed in black carrying a football type hand frag. The other two evaded to the east toward Highway 1, 1 dressed in green and white carrying an unknown type pistol, the other was dressed in black, both approximately 25-30 years of age. At 1747hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed on LZ Liz.
Delta Company
November 21, 1970
Delta Company used Recon in Force with the Platoon units in their Area of Operation. Typhoon Patsy is close to landing. At 0840hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol moving out for BS679457. At 0930hrs Delta Company 1st platoon found a booby trap vicinity BS678576, it was a can of Petna with smoke fuse firing device, fish line trip wire attached to barb wire. It was found in a uninhabited hamlet on a brum by a trail, booby trap destroyed in place. At 0935hrs 3rd Platoon patrol had to stop due to water vicinity BS668572, checked the area with negative finding. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Liz. Recon returned from checking area of intelligence and TOT of last night from BS716436 to BS699446, found day old foot prints, along trail from BS716436 to BS706438, had negative findings. At 1343hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol and 2nd Patrol has closed on BS671572. At 1835hrs Delta Company 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Platoon and Command Post in their Night Defense Position vicinity BS671572. SGT Frederick R. Kelly was evac to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0430hrs Recon is leaving LZ Liz for BS704443. At 0700hrs Recon after Artillery fire (2 3X3) completed Recon moving to check out area vicinity BS704443. Found sets of footprints, looked a day or so old. At 0840hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol completed check of BS704443 with negative findings, returning to LZ Liz.
