Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0130hrs Division TOC Fire Hill Intelligence report highly reliable source: Stated renewal of General Offensive 210730hrs. Report LRRP is located is at BS635407. At 1125hrs 1-20 Infantry LRRP vicinity BS636408 found fresh blood. At 1530hrs LRRP Nevada vicinity BS635406 spotted possible base camp and at 1600hrs they are extracted.

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2245hrs at LZ Bronco D sector LZ Bronco on Yellow alert and received small arms fire from wool line. At 2245hrs LZ Bronco received 3 rounds of 140mm with negative damage or casualties.

Alpha Company
March 21, 1969

Alpha Company continued the Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with security of bridges. At 1015hrs Alpha Company established their Patrol Base at BS919238 and at 1730hrs they established their Patrol Base to their Night Defense Position and ambushes at BS932229 and BS923217.

Bravo Company
March 21, 1969

Bravo Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and today has 1 Platoon conducts Recon in Force vicinity BS872348. At 1820hrs vicinity BS715435 spotted 2 VC going west on highway 515. Bravo Night locations 56 on Bridge 124, 62 LP/OP at BS754420 and 63 LP/OP at BS752436.

Charlie Company
March 21, 1969

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder with local ambushes and today conducts a Recon in Force to BS894308. At 0850hrs Charlie Company vicinity BS872332 found booby trap hand grenade and destroyed in place. At 1200hrs Charlie Company 32 is at BS870352 and at 1245hrs vicinity BS865357 female Vietnamese was Dust Off for White Phosphates Burns. At 1350hrs Charlie Company at BS860345 received 20 to 25 rounds automatic weapons fire with negative casualties. At 1600hrs Charlie Company located at BS864337 detonated booby trap with results 2 US WIA (E) Dust Off completed at 1638, while making Dust Off received sniper fire at 1645 detonated booby trap results 2 WIA Dust Off completed at 1702hrs. At 1730hrs vicinity BS865328 spotted 2 VC evading with weapons. At 2015hrs Charlie Company at BS880308 observed 5 to 6 VC and engaged with 81mm with unknown results. Charlie Company reports SP4 Thomas Dorrian evac to 312 Evac Hospital, SP4 Melvin M. Hawley, SP4Paul G, McAllister, and SP4 James D. O’Neal were evac to 27 Surgical Hospital.

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. A 1730hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS755415 which will be come their Night Ambush location.
