Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Colt and Alpha Company (-) and Recon Platoon depart to vicinity Highway 535 conducts Security Sweeps along the road. With Bravo Company and Delta Company is OPCON to the 1-1st Calvary.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. SP4 David K. Leach was attached to the 67th Medical Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Colt and Recon and Platoon move out to 535 conduct security sweeps along the road. At 1515hrs Recon reports at AT089372 KIA 1 VC evading. Alpha Company becomes OPCON to the 1-6 Infantry, as Battalion Forward and Recon plan move out to LZ O’Connor and the 1-20 Infantry new Area of Operation.
Bravo Company

Troop C– l platoon Bravo Company 1-20 Infantry Still OPCON to 1-1 Cav established Night Position vicinity BT220472 continued Search & Destroy northeast in Area of Operation extension. Bravo Company 1-20 Infantry & 1 Platoon C-1-1 established Night Defense Position vicinity BT220472. Continued Search & Destroy to North and East in Area of Operation Extension.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dottie. At 0825hrs Charlie Company at BS735758 have info from POW that some rice and 2 weapons are located at BS735758 will have scout team to check out then conduct a quick raid with about 25 men. At 1205hrs Charlie Company at BS678858. At 1940hrs Charlie Company at BS678857 with ambushes at BS675849, BS671868 and BS692863.
Delta Company

At about 0200hrs the Delta Company unit moved about 4000 meters by 1-1 Calvary APC to establish their Night Defense Position. Delta Company continued Search & Destroy with 1st Platoon from A Troop 1-1 Calvary. At 1310hrs Alpha Troop 1-1 Cav and Delta Company vicinity BT202507 1 US received fragments wound from hand grenade results 1 US WIA (M), At 1415hrs Alpha Troop 1-1 Cav at BT215512 have 1 VC evading with results 1 VC KIA. At 1649hrs received small arms fire returned fire 1 VC KIA still in light contact. At 1800hrs Alpha Troop 1-1 Cav at 209523 reports 1 US WHA (M) from fragments. Small action reported during day and established their Night Defense Position established at BT220472. For the day with the 1-1 Calvary and Delta Company, total enemy KIA 15.
Echo Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Colt and Recon and Platoon move out to 535 conduct security sweeps along the road. At 1515hrs Recon at AT089372 reports 1 VC KIA evading. Alpha Company becomes OPCON to the 1-6 Infantry, as Battalion and Recon plan to move out to LZ O’Connor and the 1-20 Infantry new Area of Operation. Echo Company and the 4.2 Platoon and Battalion forward prepare for the move their move to LZ O’Connor.
