Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0917hrs 1-20 Infantry request Aerial Scouts on 221400-221600hrs for Visual Recon Mission. At 0745hrs 1-20 Infantry Command and Control helicopter at 658571 detained 2 VCS and evac to LZ Liz.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0745hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS751595 received 10 rounds of sniper fire negative casualties or damage return fire with negative finding and continue the Mine Sweep. At 1410hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS684659 found M-14 anti personnel mine, removed mine and continued Mine Sweep continued.
Alpha Company
December 21, 1968
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon with element at BS745509. At 1050hrs Alpha Company at BS748506, detained 38 VCS and are walking them to Mo Duc with 1 male who had a note written in English which said he would like to contact a certain Military Intelligence agent in Duc Pho. At 1830hrs Alpha Company is back at LZ Dragon with the 61 element at BS729508. PFC Stephen Whitman was attached to the 312th Evac Hospital sick at 0830hrs.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Bravo Company the 91 element is back on LZ Liz and the 21 element is sweeping area around BS740433 to BS716550. At 2030hrs the 21 element is located at BS789445.
Charlie Company
December 21, 1968
At 0937hrs Charlie Company reports their location Charlie (-) at BS665586 and 61 at BS653586. At 1425hrs Charlie Company Air moved from BS663588 to LZ Bronco completed at 1555hrs as Charlie Company is head for their Stand Down on LZ Bronco.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts a Combat Assault PZ at 0940hrs and Last LZ at 1050hrs. At 1000hrs Delta Company at BS685588 spotted 6 VC, engaged results 6 VC KIA and Delta have not found weapons are still searching area. Then at BS685588 engaged 3 VC evading results 3 VC KIA. At 1215hrs Delta Company (-) is at BS685587, 91 at BS690582 and 21 at BS685583 along with Recon at BS668586. At 1345hrs Delta Company at BS685984 found Booby traps 1 was 4.2 Mortar round, one was a 155mm Artillery round blew all in place. At 1410hrs Delta Company is at BS688588, 91 at BS690587 and 21 at BS685584. Recon has no change, working in blocking positions using Day and Night ambushes. At 1830hrs Delta Company night location is at BS690588 with Recon at BS647576.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Liz where Battalions Headquarters Forward is located and coordinates the Battalion Rear elements and Base Defense element on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Liz where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 0815hrs LATE ENTRY-DATE/TIME on 20 December 1968 Recon Platoon at BS659583 found 5 graves of VC Men in Black PJ all had small arms wounds 3 days old. At 0937hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS668586 with multiply ambushes as they now are working as a blocking force for Delta Company. At.1830hrs Recon Platoon reported their Night Defense Position at BS647576.
