Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II. 11 Brigade request Blue Ghost Tomorrow from 200730hrs to 1130hrs 3 Reasons: 1 Fast recon of area that will hit tonight. 2. Another recon over fighter plane in river. 3. A Quick Visual Recon of a proposed LZ. This is recommended by General Cocksey. Depart to LZ Cork information was passed to 1/1 Cav with Area of Operation 11 Brigade BS3254 to BS3754 to BS3245 and no later the 0800hrs on station. Friendly Delta Company and Recon 3-1 Infantry will Combat Assault into BS357476 and 1020hrs Bravo Company 3-1 Infantry both units will sweep to North was passed to 1-1 Cav at DATE/TIME 192035hrs. At 1015hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry is air moved from LZ Liz to Cam at BS393502 PZ 0930hrs LZ 1008hrs Completed. At 1230hrs Bravo Company 3-1 Infantry at BS347498 found pieces of jacket, flack, with name LT Hallmark on it, he was not the co-pilot. At 1300hrs Recon 3-1 Infantry at BS345492 found nose of plane and ejection seat, but no body.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0815hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer received 25 rounds of Small Arms fire, negative casualties and continued Mine Sweep. At 1000hrs Bravo Company 3-1 Infantry at BS820347 detained 1 VCS (male) riding in Lambretta bus he had 4 57mm rounds, 7 60mm Mortar rounds, 15 Trip Flares and 2 PR-10 batteries will evac to LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company location in their Area of Operation at 1025hrs is Command Post (-) is at BS455585, 173 is at BS453590, 163 is at BS449585 and 133 is at BS440598. At 1033hrs Alpha Company found many ground tunnels and 1 old grave. Alpha Company reports at 1725hrs that this would be their Night Defense Position location at BS455585.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company at BS444571 found a small hut complex with assorted equipment and 2 radios at 0845hrs. At 1025hrs Bravo Company working Area of Operation location BS449570 and their Night Defense Position at 1725hrs is at BS444571.
Charlie Company
November 20, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Cork. Charlie has one element move out to BS427596 in a Recon in Force and return to LZ Cork.
Delta Company

Delta Company from their Night Defense Position BS427577 conducted Search & Clear operations in their Area of Operation all day. At 1025hrs Delta Company (-) is at BS427596 with D 173 at BS421581. At 1215hrs Delta Company reports locations Delta Command Post at BS427577, D 173 at BS436578 and D 167 at BS436577.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Cork where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Cork where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 1025hrs Recon Platoon reports their positions Command Post at BS446584, Recon 1 &2 at BS439584. At 1420hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS445583.
