Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1445hrs Minuteman 907 is on station for re supply. At 1730hrs PF 151 has 1 PF WIA by booby trap unknown type vicinity BS739631 also RF 937 found 2 VC hiding in a tunnel vicinity BS740574 with results 1 VC female KIA and 1 VC female CIA was a nurse, brought to MO Duc. At 1730hrs RF 143 engaged unknown size enemy force at vicinity BS722621, results 1 VC CIA in bunker 29 years old was a medic also RF 143 has 1 RF WIA by booby trap, unknown type at vicinity BS756626. At TMF PM at 2030hrs String 292 C has enemy of unknown size with stationary personnel with negative metal confirmation and engaged at 2049hrs fired 16 rounds HE Artillery 155 vicinity of BS64975617. Legend: 1st Platoon 33, 2nd Platoon 46, 3rd Platoon 22, 4th Platoon 09, CO-42.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1145hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon patrol closing on BS640564 and 1st Platoon patrol is moving to BS642534. At 1700hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon patrol closing on Patrol Base and at 1715hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving to BS641558. At 1730hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving to BS648567. At 2000hrs Alpha Company Command Post 1st and 4th Platoon vicinity BS641534, 2nd Platoon BS640564, with 2nd Platoon ambush BS637568, 3rd Platoon at BS635558, with 3rd Platoon ambush BS637557.
Bravo Company

At 1000hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving to BS665498. At 1030hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 1 at BS673508. At 1031hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving to BS702477. At 1200hrs Bravo Company all morning patrols are closed. At 1410hrs Bravo Company while searching area in the vicinity of last night engagement of one VC BS670497, 3rd Platoon found a trail with fresh foot prints, they followed a trail to a fresh grave 8-10 old. They also found a fresh grave 8-10 hours old. They also found a hammock covered in blood and one long pole. In the grave was 1 VC dressed in black and with multiple gun shot wounds to head, face, chest and thigh approximate age 20-26 years old results 1 VC KIA. At 1600hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon spotted 5 VC with packs and weapons at a distance of 500 meters vicinity BS669501. They called in Artillery and area sweeping area, at this time. At 1810hrs Bravo Company while pursuing 5 VC spotted earlier the 3rd Platoon spotted and engaged 7-9 VC/NVA with packs and AK 47. The enemy returned fire and evaded to a small triangular shaped tree line 500 meters away from the Platoon vicinity BS666505. At Artillery Fire Mission called in 1 VC/NVA KBA confirmed, Gun ships requested denied, it will take the unit 1 1/2 hours out of the mountains to their area. 1 US WIA by artillery shrapnel, Warlord on Station at 1840hrs, broke at 1850hrs. They destroyed two bunkers, while Warlords were engaged 1 VC with pistol belt 200 meters away 1 VC KIA. Bravo Company reports the following PFC David S. Brown and SP4 James J. Hale where evac to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to have the Security Mission for LZ Liz along with road security.
Delta Company
March 20, 1971
Delta Company had their platoons patrolling their Area of Operation. At 0850hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving to BS648474 with 3rd Platoon patrol is moving to vicinity BS632489. At 1535hrs 3rd Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 1vicinity BS636489. At 1846hrs Delta Company all patrols have closed. At 1920hrs Delta Company locations 2nd platoon BS647495, with 1st platoon and Command Post BS646476, and 3rd Platoon BS633489.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
