Battalion Forward: The 1-20 Infantry Battalion located on LZ Liz carrying out their Mission working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. LATE REPORT: At 0720hrs 39 Engineer at BS680658 at DATE/TIME 192250hrs to 192300hrs June 1969, LZ Goldie. Delta Company 39 Engineer received 3 round 82mm Mortar rounds and 200 rounds small arms fire, 3 perimeter lights shot out and returned fire with results negative casualties or damage. Also Alpha Company 39 Engineer on 192300hrs June 1969 received 5 rounds mixed RPG and 82mm Mortar with 100 rounds small arms fire and returned fire (Information). At 1345hrs LZ Liz received 5 82mm mortar round from BS722515 counter fire with 81mm mortars. At 1510hrs LZ Liz received 4 rounds of 82mm mortar with negative casualties or damage. At 2125hrs LZ Liz received 4 incoming mortars on eastside of perimeter near bunker 18 with negative casualties or damage.
Battalion Rear: Battalion rear continued their Mission of providing general support for the Battalion and take part in the Defense Positions of LZ Bronco. At 0930hrs 11 Brigade E Troop 1 Cav at BS801428 detonated 105 rounds with results 3 US WIA (E). Dust Off completed at 0950hrs ACAV combat loss. At 1620hrs LZ Bronco received 2 rounds 140mm rockets negative casualties or damage. At 1700hrs 11 Brigade Military Police 23 Det. At BS808355 received 4 rounds RPG and small arms fire near Bridge 399 with negative casualties or damage. At 1700 hrs 11 Brigade E Troop 1 CAV at BS820347 received 1 round RPG with negative casualties or damage and returned fire with results 1 VC KIA. At 2125hrs US Navy at BS928227 the Sa Huynh Navy element has received 1 round 60mm mortar with negative casualties or damage.
Alpha Company
June 20, 1969
Alpha Company at 1035hrs established their Day Logger at BS801426 found 1 NVA KBA and while using saturation patrolling founds 2 more KBA. At 1355hrs Alpha Company at BS801425 found 1 NVAAF, negative weapon or ID. At 1805hrs Alpha Company moved back into their Night Defense Position they used last night.
Bravo Company
June 20, 1969
Bravo Company (-) is at BS705421 at 0810hrs and at 1145hrs moved to BS709416 and Sweep and Clear operation in the area BS708426 found 4 75mm enemy canisters. Bravo Company then using a Recon in Force moved to BS729443 where they established their Night Defense Position at BS725447 and 32 at grid BS726455 and at 2110hrs due to movement all snakes closed on their Night Defense Position at BS725447.
Charlie Company
June 20, 1969
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1045hrs Charlie Company vicinity of BS759346 detained 1 VC and evac to LZ Liz. At 1345hrs LZ Liz was received 5 82mm-mortar rounds, and then at 1510hrs received 4 more 82mm-mortar attack again without any casualties or damage. At 2110hrs Charlie Company North OP at BS752434 took 1 in coming round mortar round or RPG with negative casualties of damage.
Delta Company

At 0810hrs Delta Company at BS802429 and at 1620hrs Delta Company is at BS798400hrs. At 1850hrs Delta Company is at LZ Bronco and at 1915hrs Delta Company is at their Night Defense Position at BS821367 with 92 at BS821367 and 72 at BS816368.
Echo Company
June 20, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon reports at LZ Liz and at 1005hrs reports their location at BS747437 and then return to LZ LIZ to continue their Security Mission.
