Headquarters and Headquarter Company
June 20, 1968
Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0748hrs 1-20 Infantry Recon 1-20 Infantry conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 0657hrs and LZ at 0705hrs, 2nd Lift PZ 0706hrs and LZ at 0715hrs 3rd lift PZ 0710hrs with LZ at 0715hrs to grid BS517461. At 0837hrs Delta Company 19th Engineers called Med Evac for 2 Vietnamese women with frag wounds, 0831hrs at BS883303, also called Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female with frag wounds from BS840330. At 1931hrs 1-20 Infantry request a snatch mission be conducted on 21 July from grid BS7326, BS7325 or BS7226.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0908hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer Road is open all the way south to Bong Song. At 0936hrs Bravo Company 19 Engineers road is open from Bronco to Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
June 20, 1968
At 0748hrs Alpha Company is starting to move out of Night Defense Position and at 0852hrs Alpha Company at BS821286 observed 2 VC in open are calling Artillery on their position with negative results. Alpha Company reports their position at 1000hrs at BS845307. At 1830hrs Alpha Company established their Night Defense Position at BS842308 with ambush at BS843294.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
Charlie Company
July 20, 1968
At 1000hrs Charlie Company located at BS8344396. At 1130hrs Charlie Company is at BS834396 found a tunnel will smaller ones leading off of it. Main tunnel 5 ½ feet wide appears to have been used recently and are searching tunnel at this time with smaller tunnels 2 ½’ wide. At 1830hrs Charlie Company at LZ Bronco with ambushes at BS813404, BS821408 and BS835391. At 2230hrs 1-20 TOC at BS835391 31 ambush engaged light moving in easterly direction 150 meters results received 8-10 small arms fire returned fire with negative results, negative casualties calling in Artillery.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1830hrs Delta Company is at LZ Charlie Brown with ambushes at BS908232 and BS908230.
Echo Company
July 20, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0724hrs Recon Platoon conducts a Combat Assault 1st Lift PZ 0657hrs and last LZ at 0715hrs at coordinate at BS517461. At 0757hrs 1-20 Infantry requests at BS518466 a Dust Off for a man with sprained ankle with LZ secure was completed at 0850hrs. At 1005hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS517457. At 1500hrs Recon Platoon at BS513451 between 1200-1400hrs observed 20 men and women in village, 10 have weapons and will move to OP vicinity BS513457 and observe village. Plan to move into village at 0400hrs 21 July 1968. At 1900hrs Recon Platoon is located at BS513453.
