Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1320hrs 1-20 Infantry SRRP at BS682526 observe 12 going to wood line artillery called with results unknown. At 1320hrs 1-20 Infantry reports a SRRP team in vicinity of BS874291 observed 2 VC with packs and weapon called in artillery. SRRP Locations: Alpha Company SRRP at BS705516, Charlie Company SRRP at BS876297 and Delta Company BSSRRP at 913252 also LRRP Patrol Nevada is located at 631534.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. SP4 Michael J. Wilson was evac to 312th Evac Hospital with burns to his face and arms at 1500hrs.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 0120hrs Alpha Company at BS714505 received small arms fire from village, flare ship on station dropped at suspected location at BS712512 and BS735520 with negative casualties and return fire with negative assessment.
Bravo Company
January 20, 1969
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1135hrs on LZ Liz Charlie Battery 1-82 Artillery reported Dust Off for 3 Men burned badly, they were burning powder charges and they where cleaning up the area, one man was from Bravo Company and Dust Off was completed at 1140hrs. At 1800hrs Bravo Company reports ambushes at 1800hrs, element ambushes location vicinity 22 ambush is at BS742438, 67 ambush is at BS758441, and 61 ambush is at BS765428. Bravo Company reports that SP4 Douglas Hoffman and SP4 Rayford D. Kirby where evac (Check February 2, 1969).
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1810hrs Charlie Company snake location are at 25 BS838388, 44 BS881330, 54 BS884325, and 53 at BS838388, 44 at BS881330, 24 BS884325, and 53 at BS865306.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0815hrs 1-20 Infantry SRRP location is at BS913252. At 1810hrs Delta Company reports snake location are at SRRP BS913252, 24 at Bridge 94, 61 BS981268, 62 at BS991278, and 63 at BS981268.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 1210hrs 1-20 Infantry 4.2 Platoon at 1130hrs ran Fire Mission for Foxtrot with result 4 VC KIA at BS737566. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon at 1220hrs report their location at BS724456 and SRRP locations at BS705516 and BS875217. Recon at BS726473 engaged 6 VC results 4 VC KIA and 1 possible WIA all had packs and 2 with weapons moving and evaded.
