Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 005hrs Saber Black is on station for grid BS7916, clear Mo Duc (MJS), clear Duc Pho (JRF), at BS798453 (JRF). Saber Black has 1 KIA, broke station for DP-mini gun down 0030hrs. At 0550hrs RF 103 at BS768465 while in night location were ambushed by unknown size enemy size unit results in 1 RF WIA, 2 VC KIA and 4 rucksacks CIA. At 2055hrs Saber Black is on station for Box 63, engaged 1 camouflaged sampan at grid BS744443, broke station at 2200hrs. At 2100hrs Q Company, Nui Vong reports taking sporadic sniper fire from the west and engaged with small arms fire and fired Illumination. At 2135hrs TMF String 62 target A has 3 to 4 personnel moving east with negative metal confirmation and engaged with 10 HE Artillery 105mm. Legend: 1^st Platoon 39, 2^nd Platoon 74, 3^rd Platoon 31, 4^th Platoon 57, CO-52.

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. SP4 Steven Osuchowski attached to the 91^st Evac Hospital (medic).

Alpha Company
April 20, 1971

Alpha Company is located at LZ Bronco for Rest and Retraining (STAND DOWN).

Bravo Company
April 20, 1971

Bravo Company will be using multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation today. At 0630hrs Bravo Company Command Post and 1^st Platoon is moving to BS720451 with the 1^st Platoon ambushed closed vicinity BS722452. At 1412hrs Bravo Company 2^nd Platoon Patrol is moving out to BS729446. At 1500hrs 3^rd Platoon patrol is moving out to BS723418. At 1540hrs Bravo Company 1^st Platoon Patrol closed on BS720451. At 2001hrs Bravo Company reports their Night Defense Position Command Post, 1^st and 3^rd Platoon at BS718453 and 2^nd Platoon and 4^th Platoon at BS725447, with 4 ambushes out tonight. SGT Dennis Candwell was attached to the 91^st Evac Hospital.

Charlie Company
April 20, 1971

Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and Road Security. SP4 Steve S. Sexton was attached to the 27^th Surgical Hospital.

Delta Company
April 20, 1971

Delta Company continued using patrolling of their Area of Operation. At 0645hrs Delta Company Command Post, 2^nd and 4^th Platoons in their Patrol Base, vicinity BS654565. At 0825hrs Delta Company 1^st and 3^rd Platoon in their Patrol Base at BS672545. At 1545hrs Delta Company Command Post and 4^th Platoon linked up with the 3^rd Platoon at BS672545. At 2006 Delta Company Command Post 3^rd and 4^th platoon at BS669545, 3^rd platoon ambush at BS675546, 1^st platoon at BS674542, 1^st platoon at BS674542, 1^st platoon ambush at BS676545, and 2^nd platoon at BS663559.

Echo Company
April 20, 1971

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry at LZ Bronco.
